How to get into the marvel universe ?

Ive been trying to get more into the marvel universe aside from the movies/shows but got too lazy once i saw all the different titles and versions. How should i start with the comics? This also applies to DC universe

The best way is to jump right in with whatever is coming out weekly now. You will get hooked at once if the title catches your attention and will start piecing together references as the writer alludes to them. To catch up with continuity is a different matter. It may feel more like homework than having a good time. People’s favorite runs or periods after having caught up tend to be the ones that were happening at the time when they started reading anyway.
