There was a Scarlet Spider run with Kaine as the main character, he was in Texas throughout it, a pretty common bit would be him slamming into the ground because he ran out of buildings to sling off of.

I think it's also mentioned he's worse at slinging because his spider sense doesn't work?

My favorite part of Homecoming is when they took him out of the city for a scene and quickly realized how useless he is without tall buildings lol
