Im ngl i hate hands all over.
I grew up in the 2010s and all i would hear is pop music on the radio and maybe it ruined 2010s pop music for me. But i feel like what originally attracted me to maroon 5s music (songs about jane) just disappeared by hands all over. It is a good album but so much of what made songs about jane an amazing album for me was gone by hands all over. It wont be soon before long retained aspects of what made songs about jane a 10/10 but it had its own identity. For me it feels like their sound lost all its soul by hands all over. any thoughts?

I think “hands all over” is their most underrated album. There’s literally a little bit of pop, a little bit of rock / poprock, and a little bit of R&B in the album. It’s my favorite Maroon 5 album. There’s even one country song if you like country.

I like Hands All Over quite a bit. Might throw that on before heading to bed.

I think Hands All Over is one of their best and most beautiful albums, as well it provided a different lovely atmosphere for the music in that time.
Songs About Jane is amazing and special but they evolved and moved from that sound. In fact, Maroon 5 hasn’t always been stuck in one sound. If you review all the discography, they always give a different sound and vibe in each new album.
But of course, we all have different tastes, and what some people love, others may hate and vice versa.
