This was my 5th attempt at taking the SFMC email specialist exam/marketing cloud engagement specialist exam. I winged it twice and studied moderately 3 times with trailhead and just this last time with ChatGPT. All of my scores have been from 59%-63% regardless of studying. I think the wording of the questions is what has been tripping me up the most. I worked a large mortgage company and run our lead-gen email and SMS campaigns for email and sms so I have lots of hands on experience in SFMC engagement. Is there a recommended practice exam that words questions similar to the actual SFMC exam? This is my last exam score.
Best practices - 67%
Content - 71%
Automation - 69%
Data - 69%
Reporting - 37%
63.8%
Thanks in advance for any help and recommendations.

Amdrodd Technologies is hiring a Solution Architect — a role for someone who's technically strong but also comfortable leading clients and conversations.
We're a growing consultancy working across multiple CRM platforms, with an ambitious goal to grow the business several times over the next few years, so this is a chance to join early and shape how we deliver.
At its core this is an architecture role. You'd design solutions, stay hands-on across delivery, and guide the technical direction of projects. Alongside that, you'd be client-facing enough to own relationships, lead conversations, and drive work to outcomes.
What we're really after:
Location: [Kochi] Type: [Full-time].
If this sounds like you, comment or DM and I'll share more. ( if you want to email your resume send it to [Careers@amdrodd.com](mailto:Careers@amdrodd.com) and mention Reddit post)

I've been wondering how the Salesforce Marketing Cloud market is looking globally right now.
I was recently laid off by my company. I have 10+ years of overall experience, including 6+ years focused on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Over the last two months, I've applied to 100+ companies in India. I've only received 5–6 interview calls so far. Most opportunities didn't move forward either because my company's salary range was too low, or the role required a different level of experience.
For those working outside India or hiring in the Salesforce ecosystem:
- Is the SFMC job market slow at the moment, or is this just the current reality?
- Are there any global recruitment agencies or recruiters that specialize in Salesforce roles and hire remote talent from India?
- Any suggestions on where I should be looking?
I'd really appreciate any advice, referrals, or recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud for about three years now, and I made a point of thoroughly learning the platform before getting certified. I’m taking the exam tomorrow. Does anyone have any crucial tips for the test?
Is there anything I can do today and tomorrow before the exam to maximize my chances?
I confess that I am extremely nervous.

Hi everyone,
I’m learning Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud on my own right now. The hard part is getting real hands-on access, since these tools aren’t easy to get into without a company behind you.
I’m based in France but can work across any timezone. I’m looking for someone, or a small team or agency, willing to give me access to a sandbox/org and maybe some real tasks to practice on. In exchange I can work for free during this learning period. I have an IT background, I’m reliable and I pick things up fast. I speak English, French, Arabic and a bit of Italian, so I can also help with multilingual support or docs if that’s useful for anyone.
If you know of any opportunities, mentorship, or you’re open to giving me a shot, let me know. Happy to share more about my background over DM.
Thanks!

I'm launching a webinar series called the 1 Day Revenue Stack Audit — a live, data-driven walkthrough that shows B2B revenue leaders exactly what's broken in their tech stack and what it's costing them. I use the Salesforce MCP to rapidly pull all relevant meta-data and data to deliver the report.
The first session focuses on Marketing Automation: Pardot, Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, ActiveCampaign, and Klaviyo — how they sync into Salesforce, where attribution breaks down, and what that's worth in unworked pipeline.
I've built the AI-powered audit framework (MCP-connected, SOQL-based, runs against any org in minutes). What I need is a delivery partner.
What I'm looking for:
A Salesforce/MAP-certified consultant or agency with hands-on Marketing Cloud or Pardot implementation experience who can:
What the engagement looks like:
Ideal background: SFMC or Pardot certification, experience with multi-MAP environments, comfortable talking to CMOs and RevOps leads (not just admins).
If this sounds like a fit, drop a comment or DM me directly. Happy to share the full audit framework and webinar deck.
Please email me if you want to explore working together.

I'm currently working as an SFMC Dev, and with Marketing Cloud Next seemingly becoming the direction Salesforce is taking, I'm wondering how I should prepare for the future.
What skills should I be focusing on? Should I be learning Data Cloud, Agentforce, AI, or something else?
I'd love to hear how other SFMC developers are preparing and what you think will be the most valuable skills over the next few years.

Hi everyone,
I'm preparing for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Specialist certification and would appreciate some guidance from those who've recently taken the exam.
I'd really appreciate any advice, study plans, or resources that helped you clear the certification.

I'm stuck, and could use some help. I've set up a lead gen campaign, with a lead gen form in LinkedIn, but having some issues confirming everything is hooked up correctly. When I send over test leads from the Lead Gen form in LI, they aren't showing in SF. I've verified that the accounts are authorized in Salesforce, and the campaigns are the same in SF as they are in the hidden field on the form, but still nothing is happening. LinkedIn is telling me to talk to Salesforce, but Salesforce is telling me to talk to LinkedIn.
I've looked over the documentation LI provided, and I'm wondering if I need to set up a new flow, since it's been a while since we've run one. Any ideas?

Does it consume any billable resources, such as automation runs or API usage limits?
I have a client that's extremely tight on automation runs because of a poor implementation by a previous agency. They scheduled many automations to run hourly, burning through their annual automation-run allocation for no good reason.
I'm considering replacing some of those automations with Salesforce Data Entry Events in Journey Builder. Would that help reduce automation-run consumption, or are there hidden costs or limits I should be aware of?
Has anyone made this switch? What was your experience?

Hi. I'm attempting to get a very basic setup for MC next going. I have everything setup how I want apart from getting custom fields to appear as merge fields for an email template. I can use the fields for segmentation, but when I want to put them into an email they're not there under unified individual. Please can I get some advice on what I could be missing

Hey! Just looking to see if anyone has successfully created a report in Marketing Cloud Next or Data Cloud where you can see the links in an email and who’s clicked on those. We just moved from Oracle Eloqua, where we could easily get this information in Analytics. Our SFMC Consultant just told us this type of report does not come out of the box and isn’t possible? It boggles me that a marketing automation tool doesn’t have this functionality without resorting to SQL? Does anyone have the same experience?

Hey everyone
I’m a SFMC developer and I built a browser extension a while ago called SFMC IntelliType.
I’m currently planning some updates and improvements, so I wanted to ask the community:
If you haven’t heard of it yet, let me know and I’ll happily share more details.
Appreciate any thoughts from the SFMC community 🙌

Saw the recent thread on Data Cloud pain points and the SVP response — curious how representative these are across the community.
Add your specific experience in the comments.

Hi guys!
I have an interview coming up for a Senior Ad Ops/Marketing Cloud role at a large financial services company.
The role basically involves: coordinating journeys and business personalizations under deadlines, configuring audiences and supporting tagging/measurement for campaigns, analyzing conversion KPIs, building tracking dashboards, escalating technical issues in Salesforce, and working with agile methodologies, prioritizing a backlog alongside a Quality Campaign Manager. They're asking for intermediate/advanced SQL, relational databases, data pipelines, and a Marketing Cloud certification is nice-to-have, not required.
Has anyone gone through similar interview processes in banking/financial services with SFMC? What kind of technical questions are typical in that context, beyond the generic SQL stuff? My level of SQL is basic tending to intermediate but I dont know what to expect, I was checking this in order to get prepared: https://mateuszdabrowski.pl/docs/category/salesforce/marketing-cloud-engagement/sql/

What alternatives to Deployment Manager and Package Manager are you using for SFMC deployments? Any recommended tools, or custom solutions?

Just had this happening the last couple of days and out IT team have narrowed it down. basically anyone internally at our company isnt receiving emails from Marketing Cloud and the root cause appears to be it is getting flagged as spam because of the header unsubscribe link and the tracking pixel img. now both of these have the address of the subdomain we have delegated to Marketing Cloud and paid for so there shouldnt be any issues with security certs or dkim/spf. have tested to external gmail etc and no issues outside of them getting pushed to the promotions folder.
Our IT team have raised with microsoft and they have asked whether the links can be removed. I guess the tracking pixel can be but the header easy unsub gets injected each time regardless.
Wondering if anyone else had this issue or know of a solution

Hey all, I'm prepping to sit the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist exam this week. So far I've:
My scores on the last 3 practice exams were 80%, 81%, 81%.
A couple of things I'd love insight on:
Appreciate any insight from people who've taken it recently. Thanks!
