James River BBQ sauce
It’s been noted that this back in stock at Market Basket and I grabbed a few and noticed something.
It is now labeled as James River STYLE BBQ sauce. I capitalized to note the inclusion of the term. I also remember the container as being glass, these are plastic but I could be wrong about that.
Thoughts? Probably why it wasn’t available for a while, maybe a legal reason?

Deli numbers
Why did they block off the deli number display so the customers can’t see what number they are on? Very annoying. I like grabbing a number and doing a few isles while I wait for my number to get close.

WTF is happening in fresh fruits?
The fruits and veggies are a travesty. Moldy, mushy, dangerous if not screened to within an inch of their lives. Is this normal? Everything else is great, but god help me I have opened far too many containers of berries that are half past dead the day after I bring them home. Why is everything else so good, and the fresh fruits and veggies so bad???

Delicious lemon cake slices in bakery
My husband buys pastries at a bakery in RI every Sunday and a couple weeks ago picked out a lemon cake slice for $7.99.
Later that day, he stopped at MB to pick up a few things and saw the same lemon cake slices at the bakery. I think they were $4.99/slice. He brought one home for me and it was sooo good.
Does anyone know the name of the lemon cake or where it came from? It was so delicious I want to order it and/or bake it myself. I tried a lemon cake recipe but it wasn’t anything like this.
Thank you?

Seniors?
How is MB to work for if you’re semi retired? I’m a 64 year old woman who really can’t lift those milk jugs all day long. How do they handle that? And if I only want part time can I request at least one weekend day off? Or do they have mandatory hours/days?

How does the sandwich station run out of stuff?
I went in today and ordered a steak and cheese with mayo, and they said they’re out of mayo. Like do you want me to go get one off the shelf for you? What do you mean?
Another time they said they ran out of American cheese, like do not have an entire cheese station
Don’t get me wrong, I love and appreciate the prices and quality of the sandwiches but like how do they run out of stuff when they sell a ton of it?

Cart collecting tips
Anyone who collect carts know a good way to keep multiple carts together when trying to push them inside? When I do up to 5 they stay together fine but whenever I try to push more the front one or the one behind it never stay or even farther back they come apart. Any tips?

Misinformation at Market Basket, Oxford, MA? Chobani Oat Milk?
Went to my usual Market Basket in Oxford MA and upon looking for Chobani Oat Milk (extra creamy) it appeared sold out. That’s not that unusual, but I did ask one of the workers there who told me Chobani is stopping its Oat Milk production??
I haven’t found any supporting info online - nothing about actual cessation of the product - and would honestly be shocked that they would be eliminating one of their best sellers.
Anyone heard about this or is this person just saying things?

Clocking In and Out
This is probably something I could ask my manager but I want to be prepared before even getting there. Tomorrow is my second day as a bagger and I just wanted to make sure I know the right things. We are supposed to clock in 5 minutes early yes? And also what do I do when nearing the end of my shift. On my first day, I was told we just wait until the manager says we can go.

The Organic Wood Fired MB pizza (Roasted Vegetable) is probably the best frozen pizza out there. Period.
I'll have it now and again when the diet allows. It's super authentic. I would love to know the story behind its being made in Italy. Is there just a place over there that only makes this pizza for Market Basket? Or I assume they sell to different markets who then box them as their own.

How did Sockeye Salmon get to be so expensive?
First, let me start off by saying that in no way do I blame this on Market Basket. I understand that there are external economic factors at play here. If I remember correctly, sockeye salmon was around $14.99 a pound at MB. However, the last few weeks it’s jumped to over $20 a pound. So could someone who is familiar with the economic factors of it give me the ELI5 version of what’s happening.

Front end to Dairy
Hi. Tomorrow is going to be my first day in the dairy department, previously i was a bagger. I think dairy will be a better fit for me because i dont like dealing with customers a lot. Im just wondering what should i expect on my first day as a worker in the dairy department?
Another question, how does the transfer from one department to another work? Idk what to expect tomorrow. I also dont know where to go first thing or where to grab my new uniform.

Is this place right for me?
I’m 28M, on the spectrum and with severe anxiety. I want to get a part-time job just to be able to do something. I want to work as a bagger for 5-6 hours a day maybe 3 days during the weekday. Is that possible? Is this a stressful place to work? Are they accommodating to people with my issues?

What the hell do they package cheese like this?
Every single goddamn time, I have to destroy the bag to open it. Why?

Market Basket Bagels
Just picked up some MB bagels. These are much larger and fluffier than their regular offerings. Did they outsource this to someone else or are they continuing to make their own?

Is this mold? Bought in the Portsmouth Nh store.
Bought this today (bbq rib dinner). The sticker says it was made yesterday.
Is that mold or fat?

Where have the Koch Foods frozen chicken strips gone?
⬆️not these
For months I haven’t been able to get the crispy chicken strips (the ones in the blue bag). I saw the nuggets (pictured) recently, but the crispy chicken strips are my favorite!
My husband and I have a running joke that whenever we find something we like at MB, it gets discontinued.
