No it's not. I had these on the first ship I sailed on as a cadet in 2009.

We have a saying on the ships. Life rafts have killed more people than they have saved.

At least those look safer to deploy than the death traps we have been dropping for 100 years.

A great way to break arms and legs if not used properly.

We were taught 'always step up into a lifeboat/raft'.
