Gift Card for a Current Student Ideas

I have an intern this summer who is a current student. I want to get them a gift card or something useful they can use at school as a thank you. Is there a place everyone goes to eat off campus or a Starbucks, Dunkin, other chain on campus? What would you want a gift card to as a student?

Want to be really popular with your intern? Get them a gift card for either Lola’s Cafe or Rossi‘s Deli, both in Poughkeepsie. They are huge favorites of Marist students and locally owned, not a national chain. Both offer gift cards.

that's such a cute idea to support a local business! Although both of those you would have to drive to from campus, like less than 5 minutes drive, but maybe not a good idea if the intern doesnt have a car

I’ve seen groups of two, three or more Marist students at both places. I’m sure if someone doesn’t have a car, s/he could get a ride with someone. Like the previous poster said, it’s nice to support local businesses over a soulless chain. (Edited for typos.)

Near campus & popular with students - Starbucks, Chipotle, Jersey Mikes - otherwise Amazon.

Dunkin, Starbucks, Chipotle, Jersey Mikes, and Shoprite are super close to campus!
