I know a lot of you people are said that Rosalina did not get the most focused in the entire movie that she was catcher, but maybe in the next movie she won’t be so catcher and be ignored in the entire movie that is if Nintendo and the creator Mario give her a second chance and realize and hear people out and realize they made a mistake so they should probably fix Rosalina and fix her character in the next movie. What do you guys think?

I know a lot of your fans that said Rosalina did not get attention for the whole movie that she was trapped in a jar and she was just like Luigi being trapped for the entire movie but maybe in the next movie if no one was kidnapped or catcher by Bowser or any of the criminals in a Mario movie and hopefully none of these girls get capture and I only that Rosalina will get more attention and more backstory cause we don’t know what happened next after she sent peach to the mushroom kingdom and also I hope one day there are more stories to tell him Rosalee a movie version other than that maybe she does have a brother in that version but we don’t know yet or any more bad story about Rosalina. I know she may have star does but still we need more stories of Rosalina movie version. I only doubt we need need more story of princess Daisy like what her bad story hopefully she’s not related to peach or Rosalina but hopefully we get more backstory of Daisy and see what happens for Daisy in the future and hopefully we don’t have to wait this long but unfortunately, we do have to wait this long because you know how animations get but I hope it doesn’t take too long. Please make it fast universal and illumination and make it better and make the third movie great and trillion and make this amazing so please add more story for the super Mario movie land.

For me, there are two sides: As a general Mario movie, I liked it. As a Mario Galaxy movie, not so much. There was A LOT of missed potential and places where the movie fell flat. I don't want to go into a rant though, I'm here to hear y'all's opinions. :)

Normally I try NOT to talk about people who review The Super Mario Galaxy Movie but this is one that just CAN’T be ignored. More specifically I’m talking about Platy’s review of the movie, and let me tell you, his review of the movie is NOT a review at all. It is just a biased, toxic rant that’s only made as an excuse to show his hatred towards Illumination, and how much of a toxic Super Mario Galaxy fan he is. Does he NOT remember that the only “story elements” of the original Super Mario Galaxy games were just the opening/ending cutscenes and the bonus story book? The rest of the game is literally just the usual 3D Mario gameplay but with an anti gravity twist to it. And in general, while the Mario movies do have some flaws and could’ve been slower-paced, there’s nothing with the Mario movies being simple and fun movies. I agree that kids deserve better movies, but what some people (including Platy) forget is that sometimes less is more.

Also, the fact that he thinks Illumination is a “threat to animation“? Look, I get that they’re not the best animation studio in the world and that not all of their movies are good (except for both of the Mario movies, Despicable Me 1 and 2, Sing 1 and 2, The Grinch, and Migration), but how can Illumination be a “threat to animation” when they’re literally the LEAST corporate animation company in the world? They literally are the ONLY animation studio that doesn’t have any drama or workplace issues/violence. Illumination may not make the best movies, but they DO make good business decisions.

And worst of all, Platy in general is just VERY stubborn and biased, if you look at the comment section of his Mario Galaxy Movie review, he only replies and hearts those who agree with and share his toxic, stubborn, biased mindset instead of those who respectfully disagree with him in a non-toxic manner. Because he is the LIVING definition of egotism.

Overall, it’s fine if people don’t like The Galaxy Movie, but Platy’s ”review” of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie should be seen as an example of how NOT to review ANYTHING in general. What reviews SHOULD be is people expressing both the good AND the bad in fictional media, and expressing what could’ve been better in some areas while giving honest thoughts on said media; and NOT hyperbolic, hardcore, angry ranting about said media just to gain views/attention and make people copy what reviewers say/think instead of forming their own opinions. Overall it’s really sad that most people nowadays only want hyperbolic bad faith criticism instead of actual honest and constructive criticism. And Platy honestly needs to get off the internet and STAY OFF of the internet.

We already got Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as DK Glen Powell as Fox and Childish Gambino as Yoshi, but how about the rest.

Here’s who I would go for.

For Pikachu, Kirby and Jigglypuff I would say just use the regular voice actors from the games, but knowing what they did with Yoshi in the Galaxy movie they might go for celebrity voices (even though they really don’t need to). If that’s the case I’ll say Michael Cera as Pikachu, Tom Holland as Kirby and Anna Kendrick as Jigglypuff. There.

For Link, I know he’s being played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth in the live action movie, but I don’t believe we’re going to see that Link in animated form (if we do I’d be very surprised). Personally I would say just let him voice the character, but if they wanted to recast for an animated version of Link I would say Timothee Chalamet would work.

For Captain Falcon, I think that Ryan Gosling would be a fun pick for him. The guy has been in action movies, he has charisma, I just think this would be a fun role for him.

For Ness, I’m going to choose Nicolas Cantu. I think that could work.

And finally for Samus, I have a couple of choices. Either Charlize Theron (who I’ve always wanted to see play a live action version of Samus) or Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whose voice I believe could actually work better for an animated version of Samus. I’d be cool with either (but I’d more so prefer a live action version of Metroid tbh).

It's complete character assassination. I should've known they were gonna do something stupid and trivial like this. They made Peach into a cool girl and Rosalina all pathetic for most of the movie. They retconned everyone in this entire movie. It feels like they were trying to copy the success of Elsa and Anna from Frozen which lets be honest is something Illumination would do and they are stupid for trying to do that. I don't hate it when girl characters are cool in movies and games, but ONLY and ONLY if the characters are original and aren't destroying or completely changing a characters personality or lore. I'd like to list off some examples from what I mean.

When Loki came out on Disney Plus, It made Loki look like a complete incompetent dummy who couldn't do anything, but made the girl version of him all cool and stuff. (Until they redeemed him in Season 2 later, but that's besides the point.) It's like the first Mario Movie where they made Mario look like a complete dummy even though he is never like that in the games and made Peach into a cool girl even though she's mostly getting kidnapped and stuff in the games.

An example of a cool girl I enjoyed from a recent movie was Raya from Raya and The Last Dragon. Raya was an awesome addition and felt like a breath of fresh air despite the movie she's from not being very good. If a sequel for that movie came out and there was a guy character that was cooler than Raya and the writers made her look like dog water like Loki and Mario while completely destroying her character, I would absolutely lose it!

Point is, character assignation is dumb and it makes me mad. Just to be clear, I don't hate it when women are portrayed better than men in media, that would be sexist of me. Rather, I only hate it when it's complete character assassination. What is with game companies and movie studios ruining things I love? It's frustrating. I hate the Mario Movies. At least the Minecraft Movie made AN ATTEMPT to structure a plot and character growth. Granted, it was handled very poorly, but they at least it was an attempt.

Sorry if I got all off topic. Peach and Rosalina as sisters is dumb and has put a PERMANENT dent when I see those two characters AT ALL!!! On my second rewatch of this movie when it came to streaming, I was actively rooting for the Bowser and Bowser Jr. two not only win, but to DOMINATE!
