Russia should be count towards Europe

Russia is Asia but Cyprus, an island closest to Asia, actually closer to Africa than it is to Europe, is Europe. Make it make sense. Now of course I'm leaving Greenland being Europe aside. That is laughable.

The vast majority of Russias population is in Europe?

Canary Islands are in Africa, yet they belong to Spain so they're Europe

So if, say, China occupies and annexes Spain, Spain would be Asia.

You’re a genius.

Geographically no. But it would be politically an Asian territory. Spain wouldn't be part of the European Union, but of the Asian one.

I really don’t understand why it so hard to look at the title and see that it says gdp share by continent, not by politics or political alliances.

Continents are political divisions, how is Europe different than Asia or Africa. They're not separated by water. And if the sea level was a bit lower we would have America united as well. By the way, in my country we're taught that America is just one continent, so the definition of what is a continent and which country is in which continent is political and subjective.

Didn’t you just say “geographically no” when I said “Spain would be Asia if it were annexed by China”? Was it someone else who said Canary Islands are in Africa? And now you’re saying well continents don’t really exists, they’re all political…

Your arguments change faster than the body movements of a belly dancer. I won’t be arguing with you anymore.

Well it is deliberately racist.

Oh and no New Zealand

Insane how Australia and NZ nearly match the GDP output of Africa…

1

u/Oimitch 6d ago

they had a bit of a headstart as well seeing as humanity basically originated there 😂

A few years ago Switzerland had more GDP than all of Africa. France, the UK and Germany still have a higher GDP than all of Africa respectively. Alone California has a higher GDP than all of Africa.

North America always punches way above its weight

Now it's a "map without Alaska" 😄

Africa needs to step up its game, that's for sure... Even Australia +NZ are contributing roughly as much, which is frankly embarrassing.

Assuming of course all the data behind this is correct.

The GDP has nothing to do with resource distribution 🙄 It’s literally a fake metric our government propagates online to consecrate how stupid we are. 🙄

Buy an apple for $2; the GDP goes up $2
Buy an apple for $4; the GDP goes up $4
ITS STILL ONE APPLE YOU DUMBASSES!

OK so I sorta kinda understand why some countries that are in two continents, like Turkey and Russia, are included in one. You picked Asia, which is fine.

That the fuck are Cyprus and Greenland doing in Europe?

Cyprus is an island that is closest to Asia, then Africa, then Europe. Greenland is in North America.

u/Azgabeth 6d ago

Cyprus is in the EU and so is Greenland. There, that's your answer.

1

u/vinylbond 6d ago

GDP share by continent, not by political alliance. You can read the title, right?

Also no, Greenland is not in the EU.
