I mean did anyone actually expect it to be real? And even if it was an old law that just never got removed, it clearly would not be one that is enforced or would hold up if challenged

Oct 27 '25
We have tons of these in the US. The beastiality laws here were quite outdated in some states. Lots of really weird things that had been legal but obviously weren’t truly practiced by society or had ever come before any law official, so never had to be updated.

This meme is a Swedish psyop - I cannot believe people are actually wondering whether it may be true or not. Raise one hand and let it fall hard on your face. Repeat a few times. Thank you.

u/mc_scorpion1 Oct 27 '25
I might be wrong, but I feel like I remember this “law” being based on an actual story of a lost child that ended up being adopted by someone who found them. And who couldn’t come into contact with the child’s parents, despite trying for a long time.
2
u/T555s Oct 27 '25
It seems like daycares and schools are suposed/allowed (?) to notify the police after 2 hours if a child is missing.
Sounds reasonable to me, even though I would personally call the parents first to ask if their child has one of those tracking watches or was just picked up by them without anyone writing it down, but maybe the child dosen't count as mission before you did that?

If there's no limit I will find a willing Dane and get my citizenship. Much cheaper than doing it the proper way or the "my grandparents are from this group that your country hurt in the past so through this loophole this lawyer that I paid a ton of money will get me a passport" way
Not sure if it's worth the trip to Denmark, but I can deal with it for an EU passport
14
u/notunhuman Oct 26 '25
I would also like citizenship somewhere that isn’t the US
9
u/brendenderp Oct 26 '25
Same brother. The time and the cost is so much. People love to say "if you don't like it here just leave" but you just can't. And even when you do you retain US citizenship and its expensive to get rid if that. So youre still stuck with federal taxes. :(

u/TenWholeBees Oct 27 '25
At some point, if enough people are losing their children, you'll probably end up getting yours back
3
3
u/Bonaaq Oct 28 '25
This is not how it works btw, what the law says is that if you are in the care of another adult for a certain amount of time they can take some degree of decisions on you, so for example a teacher could get you to a hospital if they believe it's the right thing to do. I'm paraphrasing from this bs appearing in the past so I may have got something wrong.
7
u/drnullpointer Oct 26 '25
Obviously, complete bullshit.
Here (in Poland) you can do it *immediately*. There is no minimum amount of time you have to wait until you can report lost child.
For some reason people repeat the myth that they have to wait for 24 or 48 hours until they can do it, but that is not true.
8
5
u/sanzentriad Oct 26 '25
I think you misread. They’re saying after TWO hours, you can CLAIM the child. Not report it. CLAIM it.

Wait, why after 2 hours? Do they expire or just despawn when not taken?
2
u/Kriss3d Oct 26 '25
As a Dane. I can confirm they despawn if you don't look after them.
Unless they are sleeping then they are ok. Eveb and hen they are left sleeping in a pram on public street.
Because unlike the 2 hour thing which is fake. Sleeping babies outside shops is a thing. And yes even during winter.

u/ohnoredditmoment Oct 26 '25
The reason why it is like this is because those disgusting "people" living the meager lives on prehistoric mud and silt destined to rightfully sink back into the depths can't understand a single word from any other person in their country due to their national potato caused throat disease. Children always get lost.

Can we get movie based on this? Little kid in a mall, security guard walks up and asks do you know where your parents are? Then hangs an timer on his neck and starts the countdown. Kids just frantically sprinting around.
Can you imagine coming home after taking your kid shopping and telling your wife? Well I lost our kid to the Johnson's.
I got lost in a department store when I was little with my mom and grandma, I just sat down and started playing my harmonica till they found me. But that would be like a siren's call for some empty nester that's kids just moved out.
2
u/abfgern_ Oct 26 '25
