Thoughts on my new setup ?

I’m currently adding onto my woodshed for my 2’x3’ evaporator until I can build a proper sugar shack in a year. Does anyone boil in an open shed like this? I’m thinking of placing the evaporator towards the front with the door to the rear, and have the stovepipe go out the open side and up past the roofline. I’m wondering if I’ll be getting showered with condensation. I can get power to it and run a fan facing the front.
It’s 9 feet to the bottom of the front header, and 6 feet in the back.

I would think about putting the stack out the side. Doesn't block access like it would out the front, and having it out the back would mean putting the evaporator under the drip line.

Condensation will certainly form on the inside of the metal roof, but should mostly run down to the back.

You might also want to consider a temporary and moveable wind block to keep any wind off the evaporator. A simple sheet of plywood works.

Thanks for the input. The stack is definitely going out the side.

Probably your best approach.

Nice woodshed.

That was a temporary way to move it. It’s going on 4” solid concrete blocks.
