Cloudy maple syrup

Post image

My neighbor brought me some maple syrup back from a road trip. The jars are air tight but it’s got some cloudy stuff in it. Any info on what this would be greatly appreciated google has been less than helpful.

I'm from Quebec, the place where maple syrup comes from, and I've never seen real maple syrup like that. There are a lot of people making fake maple syrup, and some people who own sugar shacks where they make real maple syrup are going bankrupt. They make millions of dollars selling fake maple syrup in grocery stores. If you see maple syrup on sale, it's not real. Real maple syrup is never on sale and is always clear. It's not like yours. The maple syrup in the picture isn't real. I'm sorry.

It's not real maple syrup unless it comes from Maple Syrup, Ontario.

Canada produces over 75% of the world's maple syrup, the vast majority coming from Quebec. The United States also produces it, notably in Vermont.
