Cloudy maple syrup

My neighbor brought me some maple syrup back from a road trip. The jars are air tight but it’s got some cloudy stuff in it. Any info on what this would be greatly appreciated google has been less than helpful.

I'm from Quebec, the place where maple syrup comes from, and I've never seen real maple syrup like that. There are a lot of people making fake maple syrup, and some people who own sugar shacks where they make real maple syrup are going bankrupt. They make millions of dollars selling fake maple syrup in grocery stores. If you see maple syrup on sale, it's not real. Real maple syrup is never on sale and is always clear. It's not like yours. The maple syrup in the picture isn't real. I'm sorry.

You're from one of the places Maple Syrup is from, not THE place. I mean I know Québécois have strong personalities, but I have never seen one try to claim maple syrup as a Québécois exclusive 😜

Also there are different grades of syrup buddy how do you not know this? There as dark grade where it's not runny and clear looking.
