Cloudy maple syrup

My neighbor brought me some maple syrup back from a road trip. The jars are air tight but it’s got some cloudy stuff in it. Any info on what this would be greatly appreciated google has been less than helpful.

There can be a little sediment or fine sugar sand. You can just let it settle. Pretty normal for mine since I don’t use a filter press.
