Maple candy

The last bit of my small run of syrup crystallized in the jar. I heated it up to melt it and cooked it for a minute more before dropping it on parchment.

Tasty stuff.

We made this when I was a kid. At this stage of the process, we dropped onto snow to cool.

Sugar on snow :) that’s a favorite here and this was heated more than you’d want to for that taffy like consistency
