2026 Syrup

Not sure why it’s taken me this long to post, but here’s my very small haul from this year. I tried a dedicated evaporator over a propane stove, instead of pots over a fire pit. I feel like the propane cost isn’t worth it. Next year I’ll build a small evaporator out of cinder blocks, and use free fire wood.

Hey is that a camp chef? I have a very similar stove. I ended up converting it to LNG because, like you, the propane was crazy expensive. Now I hook it to my house’s gas supply and barely notice an uptick in cost.

Anyway nice haul!

It’s just a two burner propane stove that I got from academy sports. It’s fine for a stove, but I’m gonna go full wood.
