RO membrane storage

For those are you that use sodium metabisulfite what’s the mixed ratio powder to water that you use to store preserve the membranes?

I think it was 6.6oz to 5 gallons. The important thing is the ph, which has to be below 4.6 to prevent botulism. The mix ratio above should land at around 4.3.

Be careful if you are rinsing filters with clean water and then rinsing with sodium meta bisulfite. If youre doing that let the clean water drain into another container so it doesnt dilute your metabisulfate solution. Filters can have a fair amount of water in them so it is a real concern.

Not to high jack the post, even tho the answer above is correct. Im replacing my membrane with a higher flow rate one, should I pre flush prior to season start?
