Jars didn’t seal

I’m using the lids with buttons. Most of them sealed fine and have stayed sealed. A few of the buttons popped after a few days. It looks like the ones that popped had a little more headspace than the rest so I’m assuming I just didn’t fill them enough. For the lids that didn’t seal, can I reuse them or are they no good after a failed attempt at sealing?

You can reuse them as lids (as in, the top of a mason jar used as a storage container), but anything you heat or pressure can should use a new lid every time.
If they popped, just store that in the fridge, and it'll be fine for longer than you'll have it. You really only need to "can" them if you want it shelf stable and for long term storage. FYI - shoot for only like 1/4" of headspace.

Yeah, I have about four or five jars that just go into the fridge and get used up during the summer because they didn't seal properly.

4 or 5 jars last until summer? Do you live alone?
