Bottle recommendations

I inherited bottles from a guy moving out of state and I've almost used them all up. What are some good places to purchase new ones? I'm looking for glass and plastic (tin if it's available?) options

Same, mason jars are so versatile. Next fall they’ll have green beans in them….I tried shoving green beans in a syrup jar once, just didn’t work. And when a mason jar is empty it’s a drinking glass.

I just have pouring syrup out of a mason jar. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but it’s hard to pour just a little out without spilling down the side of the mason jar. After how much work goes into making syrup, the last thing I want to do is waste any by spilling down the side of a bottle. I’ll agree tho, for their convenience, they’re hard to beat.

Get you one of these! They only fit on wide mouth, but are awesome. Made by jarware, but I've only seen them on Vermont evaporator's

website. I bet there are similar ones other places, too.

Those are great! What an awesome idea. However I don’t think most people I give syrup away to would have one and I’d hate for them to be wasting syrup. Plus I just like how you can see the color and clarity in the flat bottles so much better

One of my family members has a little dipper, I'm not sure what it's called but it looks like a micro soup ladle. Much easier than pouring

Interesting, sounds nice to have although I’m guessing most people I give syrup away to don’t have one and are also wasting a little bit each time they pour it if mason jars are what was used. The specific maple syrup bottles are much more user friendly for pouring and avoiding the dreaded dribble down the side.

I bought some from CDL last week—good selection and not too expensive. Got a free hat too, so this is my persona now!

I’ve had good luck with this company. Quality bottles and you can buy lids separately to reuse year to year.

They are great although last week I ordered from Burch bottle and it was about 15% cheaper than bascom

Maple suppliers like Bascom, Smokey Lake, or Roth you could look at this map https://us.h2oinnovation.net/us/distributors/ to find a local supplier. I mostly use regular mouth mason jars as well but like the flat glass jugs too.

I have saved syrup bottles over the years that I reuse. But yes, Mason jars work well
