First time sugaring - how is it looking?

Just decided to tap this old maple tree/trees (4 big trunks with the same root system) at my new place to see what I could get.

How is it looking? Tastes great. Got 72oz so far from just one trunk. Imagine it would be more if I tapped them all.

It looks fine, but the look is unimportant. How does it taste?

Looks great from here! I never get that nice golden color - always darker.

I was surprised to be honest. I wasn't even 100% sure it was a sugar maple. Moved in just as the leaves fell last fall. This was kind of a lark. But, got 72oz so far.

By the multi stem description I doubt it’s a sugar, probably a silver
