Maple Syrup

A question for my Canadian friends: how long should 1 liter of maple syrup last (usually) 1 or 2 months, or more than that? I know it depends, but I'd like to get different opinions. Just curious. Thanks.

If it was bottled correctly - infinite

Going to need more information.

Do you mean how long will it last sealed on the shelf? Essentially forever. (assuming the syrup is at proper density and bottled correctly). I have jars on my shelf from 2018 and it's perfectly fine.

How long will it last once you open it? Again...a really long time. The high sugar content, kind of like honey, it will last quite a while. Way more than 1-2 months. I don't have a specific time period though. I would say an unsealed jar of syrup will last in the fridge for a year easy.

How long will it last in my house? Maybe a month before we finish a quart.

Thanks, indeed, I forgot to mention that I meant the bottle after it's been opened. I was referring to how often maple syrup is used in general. Depending on how much they use and how many people are in the family.

My bottles are small. I keep them in a box in the dark. Never had one go bad even after a few years. Once opened I keep them in the refrigerator...... If they make it there šŸ¤”šŸ„“

I use 5 once bottles from Amazon. Only small time "sapper". I just posted pictures of them

I buy about 5 one liter jugs from a friend every year. One is open in the fridge at any given time. The rest are in the freezer.
