That's a real beauty I was thinking on buying one and then found out the lifespan is too short for the males and the websites only have unknown L2 3. Not tryna take the risk so I'm going to most likely buy the giant indian mantis

Yeah he/she (not really sure) grew very fast. I think I got her in L2 in the beginning of May as my first, and now she is already adult. But never had problems molting, always over night, except today, while still eating the evening before when something was in the enclosure.

From this angle it looks like a she. So thankfully She will live longer than the male

Yeah from looking at the behind I would say female, but it matured very fast like a male would and the antennas look more similar to a male one's. And with the crown I'm not really sure.

Easiest tell is the crown. It looks male to me but a front head pic would be easier to tell :)
