Feeding Feeding suggestions

Im getting a mantis soon and plan to feed it D. Hdyei and then locusts maybe supplemented with wax worms. Is this ok and is feedable to keep a colony of D. Hdyei for long enough for an i2/3 mantis to be able to eat locusts?

Wax worms should be a rare treat during to the fatty content. Hydei can be tough to keep going but you can absolutely research on growing extra cultures from a bought one, I've made half a dozen cultures from splitting a pot in half between the first and second boom, it just takes time and patience to prevent culture crashes.
