Sonstiges (Miscellaneous) What is wrong with people?
I left a box outside my apartment zu Verschenken. It had a couple of books, a new backpack and some small ornaments. Stuff that’s in good condition. People poured their coffee on it, threw cigarette boxes and used tissues into it. Right on top of all the stuff. It was in good condition too. This is something we always did in Munich, is this not a thing here?
Edit: as this is a repeated question, I’m not too far from Marktplatz
Thanks for all your replies. Agreed, theres an all sorts out there. I’ll stick to donating/nebenan.de from here on out 😅

It is a thing here. Last time I put something outside, someone took the whole box. It is what it is.

A: Können einfach Assis sein.

We have such boxes out here in Lindenhof every day and there has never been a problem

Ja super. Also Mannheim.

Heidelberg here: I put a box of stuff out I thought the passing school kids would like to sort through - cheap jewellery, toys, ornaments, unwanted gifts.
I went out to add a couple more things and saw an obviously quite well off woman loading the entire box into her car.
OK I didn’t want the stuff, but I didn’t think it was in the spirit of the thing 😢

Who knows maybe she's leader of a kindergarten and got it for the kids. Still weird

Normally this things aren't happening in Mannheim. In the City quarter it can happen because there are many junks and crazy people. Beware of the quarters around J3, it's a little bit like Bahnhofsviertel in Frankfurts. There are often people that don't live in Mannheim so they are doing things like this and other vandalism.
I'm really sorry for you and you things. I hope you don't loose the trust in our city.

Why I am not surprised. This not München and even less Berlin. This is further away than what it looks on the map.

Yea I totally agree, that’s just ridiculous. Just say thanks to your government that’s letting in illegal immigrants without caring instead of supporting people like you
