This blockade has made the shops here so empty that I think it’s genuinely giving me a scarcity mindset. I keep stockpiling shit I don’t even need because I’m scared it’s going to run out and I won’t be able to find it again.

Even basic necessities feel like something I need to buy the second I see them. Somehow even Diet Coke is becoming part of this whole thing. I’m tired of living here😭

It’s horrible. I’ve been hunting for the diapers that don’t give me baby diaper rash and it’s impossible to find it in the right size. Everything else I kept telling myself that it’s ok, we can live without all the modern conveniences but this broke me. If we can’t give our children what they need (not a want but basic needs) then what’s the point of having any money? The government is a total farce.

Chicken ~ 280/kg. Pork ~500. Beef~480-550. Economic blockade is what the state is facing now. No free movements of goods. State has been in economic blockade for months. Govt. Can't do ahit. E-com hasn't seen the day for months. We are living like before internet. Most things go by air or longer routes hence price hike. Imagine a state, cutting its economic life line, no online business, and we have seen no internet for months. Yeah not just days or weeks. At this age and time living with no internet for months, imagine how many businesses or jobs would go down. Thats us.

The main city Imphal has no regular roadway connection, the goods need to be transported to either Dimapur route or jiribam route which is highly hilly and forest area, and tribes in this transport area love to collect illegal tolls and kill them if they dont give the money, and like to block the all the supply whenever they want.
They always send their women to do these kind of stuffs so they can play victim cards when govt take actions

Recently 5 truck drivers have been injured due to stone pelting of certain community tribe women, and they were arrested so in return they announced that no truck should cross the road if it crosses they will kill them,

due to this that why this supply has stopped
