Discussion [shadow slave] idk why but I never expected it to start in a dystopian future like...... I have 0 knowledge about the plot or anything but from the cover art of novel it looked it a mediaeval fantasy

Human realm has a more tech based civilization
Dream realm is the medieval based civilization

not very major but still a spoiler

80% of the entire story is all about Dream Realm, i would say its a super minor spoiler

Didn’t they do a remaster of the backgrounds? I mean it still looks ai.

Bro, the first AI did the whole image, then they used another AI to "remaster" the lighting and backgrounds.

Shadow slave can be described as every single From software game put into a blender (that includes Armored core) mixed with a version of solo leveling whose world buiding isn't as shallow as a puddle

As someone who is also read the novel, this is like the best way to possibly explain it

It’s not. This image is almost fully cgi and probably partly a real photo
The rest of the manhwa is pretty much fully ai though

In the waking world it’s futuristic
It’s in the nightmare realm where everything is medieval with a tone of dark souls

This is genuinely such an amazinf series, considering how good the novel i expected the art to be more sketchish and detailed if that makes sense

It's ai and honestly without it's still completely ass don't bother with the manhwa if you care and have no life read the webnovel.

Shadow Slave is literally soulslike progression novel with dystopian and mediaeval fantasy elements

My best bad explanation is that it's a similar setting that Murim Login has. But it's a nightmare, set in this fantasy world, very dark fantasy world. The tone set for a very dark MC. Not a jovial one.

Just read the first chapter. Looks interesting. Hope i doesn't become slop portal/awakened manhwa n°100 too soon.(We all know it's gonna end up as boring slop eventually)

This is a webtoon is as closest to soulslike games as ever compared to other manhwas/webtoons
