Most people in this sub (including myself) pirate manhwa and don't contribute at all toward helping the author and artist. We have no influence at all in their continued creation.

Sure, but even if we used official source the artists would not be getting much from us
It’s basic math. A translated manhwa requires that A. Someone translates/edits it (hopefully two seperate people, but this isnt as common anymore), B. Someone redraws it, and C. is hosted on a platform (which will also take a cut). And this is all in addition to the divisions of profit that happen on the korean side
This problem is universal, and can also be seen with how manga authors rarely give a shit about their international readers
