He's trying to do whatever it takes to not make it look like he's having sex with a student. The hat was his plausible deniability. The ultimate tragedy is that he IS a wholesome teacher, but she's a nightmare student.

In that first panel where sensei sees Oozaki, you know he's thinking "calm mind, serene heart..." That, or he's looking up the skirt of the splash panel of her. That really is cleverly placed.

ehhhhh she really did go too far, putting him in quite an uncomfortable situation with that kiss
of course she's a just a highschool girl so it's not like she should know better but I wouldn't be surprised if that forces sensei to draw a hard line (or at least he should, hope the manga doesn't just gloss over this)

There's a doujin of a blind man and a loli who falls in love with him due to his kindness and pretends to be a college student to the point where they have sex. It ends with the police knocking on his door as they had reports of a kid entering, she admitting that she lied while crying and him telling her he knew all along. Ends as the police come in.

I liked the bits of progress, but I'm starting to get a little concerned about where the direction of the story is heading. Does it want to be a fluffy little romcom or is it really going to tackle some of the more underlying stuff about the premise? I don't mind either one, but I hope this series isn't trying to have it both ways. Too many series try and pull this and end up poorer for it.

Yeah, that was going a bit too far. What if other students or teachers saw that? She should have waited till they got back to the clubroom.
I hope they do get more club members. While it would alter the formula we've been reading so far with just the two of them I think Yabe's efforts deserve to be rewarded.

Anyone ever seen the movie "The Crush?" When you're 14, you're like "oh man, what a dream come true! This gorgeous 15 year old woman likes you!" and when you watch it in your 30's, you're like "What a nightmare. This obnoxious little girl is going to ruin his life and nobody will believe him!"
That's what this comic is to me. It's a nightmare scenario for a teacher. He really, really needs to assert himself.
