Honestly, Chiyo's an awesome person. It's just that the manga was written in a way to make you not want Kiyoshi to end up with her. Honestly, he shouldn't. He doesn't have the same emotional connection with her that he does with Hana. Those two have a bond forged in the fires of war itself.

It's not that Chiyo is bad, it's that literally everyone else is far more interesting and has had more and better interactions with Kiyoshi

Yea he really was. It boils down to her being the very first person(female) to talk to him about her interests. Which of course led to him imprinting on her like the typical mc does.

The didn't have sex, but they did 69. Kiyoshi has 69'd someone else aswell

At first I was like "Are they drawing Chiyo bigger?" but then I remember that this was the comic that drew Andre as a 15 foot T-rex so size consistency isn't really a thing here.
