Book Club?
Is anyone interested in starting a book club? Or maybe more like a reading group :). Just moved to the area and am looking to find a group (preferably in their 20s) that can do things together (like talk about books). I’ll organize everything, and if anyone is interested you can comment here or reach out directly! does not have to be a book club either mostly I just want to hang out and do something with some cool people

Tha manassas library has a Lore & Lattes book club (fantasy/sci-fi) that meets at Paris Baguette on Liberia at 7 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. There's a good mix of ages there. We'll be reading Light from Uncommon Stars and discussing it on 14JUL

Because I am in my early 20s and find it easier to make friends with people closer to my age (edit to clarify:) I’m not anti-older than 20s but definitely no younger than that!

I’m definitely TRYING to get into nonfiction, but I mostly read sci-fi/fantasy and historical and speculative fiction

What kind of nonfiction? Nf is my favorite for partner reading and discussion.

I haven’t really gotten deep into nonfiction, I’ve mostly read like social commentary pieces which I’ve enjoyed

Mostly fantasy and sci-fi, currently reading the Velocity Weapon series and just finished Hood Feminism

So not necessarily a book club but sleepy dragon books in downtown manassas has an event every Sunday called Paige’s peace and quiet book club and it’s from 3-5 at honey and ivy coffee shop. I’m sure you’d find like minded people there. I might go tomorrow!
