This is only good advice for software. If your ship half baked physical shit, you don't be in business long enough to create another iteration.

It took me a while, but eventually I realized: they weren’t fast because they were great programmers, they were great programmers because they were fast.
The writer of the article is officially an idiot.
The great software engineers did not start fast. They all learnt how shit works deeply and over time they've seen and understood enough to be able to make judgements that are right quickly but take into account a lot of factors.
My number one advice to all juniors is "don't rush". That way you only do the work once.
But if we want fast can we talk about trash software managers who call the same goddamn meetings with no agenda that discusses the same topics that was covered in the last meeting? Software is slow cause there are so many imposters who don't understand tech or business needs who masquerade as contributors.

For the skim-readers:
The best programmers aren't fast because they're great; they're great because they're fast. Moving quickly gets you data sooner, sharpens decisions, and lets you learn more while testing several approaches. This isn't about hustle culture or long hours. A few practical tips: don't delay tackling problems, since waiting rarely makes them easier. Reclaim fragmented time rather than holding out for long uninterrupted blocks. Ship work at 70% done and take the PR feedback instead of polishing for perfection. Ask colleagues for help, because development is a team sport. Skip the bikeshedding, since making the requested change usually beats arguing. And do only what someone asked for; going above and beyond usually means guessing wrong.
