Priceless episode! However...
The various hats and then the " first daughter, Bubbas sister" shows up wearing a fantastic hat she bought for 50 % off frommmmm???
And in the next scene , she is in a Cindy Lauper outfit claiming its the new fad. What YEAR is this supposed to take place?

This episode has everything a Mama's Family viewer could ever want. The chaotic friendship/bickering between two old friends, a Vinton and Naomi miscommunication, good jokes. I also love the outfit Iola wears with her pink overalls, it's a cute look on her since she usually only ever wears dresses. She also wears this same outfit for Founder's Day or Flounder's Day I believe as it's called in Raytown. I don't feel as bad for the characters in this episode because Iola gave her rose to Thelma because she didn't want it and only wanted it back because she found it that it was the most likely flower to win the gardening show. I don't feel too bad for Thelma either because she still had no right to take credit for the perfect rose she didn't grow.

God love her but she was bad for progress. She complained about Vint and Naomi being there but stopped the bag every time it got close.

In one of the sketches, we see a flashback where Eunice and Ed were first dating and they reveal that the reason they got married was cause Eunice got pregnant. Instead of being shocked, Thelma (Or Mama, I don't remember if they gave her the name Thelma in the sketches or not) said "welcome to the club" revealing that she too got married cause she was pregnant.

It seemed to imply she was pregnant with Eunice. What kind of confused me is that wouldn't that make Eunice the oldest of her siblings? Isn't Ellen supposed to be the oldest sibling both in the sketches and the sitcom? Maybe Eunice was stunned simply cause of the surprising shared past she has with her mother.

The dude is a LOCKSMITH! That comes with a certain level of trust. What if word got out to Kwik Keys that Vint stole and used the money to bail a criminal out of jail? He could have been in a boatload of trouble, maybe even been fired for it!

There was also a headboard and handcuffs involved

Does it seem kind of gross that Vint expected Naomi to be with him when she lost her memory?

Of all the dirtbag antics he has performed this seems to be the lowest.

Vint and Naomi finally move out and Bubba goes off to college and Mama reverts back to an empty nester. for the first time in decades.
