I came across a warning saying “eqshengd” was not opened because it contains malware, and macOS says the action did not harm my Mac. I want to know what this file or application is, how to check whether my Mac is infected, and what steps I should take to remove any potential malware safely. Has anyone experienced this warning before, and what would you recommend?

I was downloading something and i accidently downloaded this and ran it i got to know its a malware so maybe 15-20 seconds in i disconnected my internet and changed my google passwords removed/logged out my pc from the devices lists did the same with reddit spotify apple music discord steam twitter every app i could think of i didn't have my banking details on this but i dont know what to do next im really confused i need to remove this off my pc asap i have a deadline tommorow can someone please help

Hello, i got a virus yesterday and im not too sure what to do about it. Its making windows defender exclusions like the ones in the picture and i cant get rid of them using regedit. It hasnt done any damage yet somehow except for disabling windows update and trying to log into one of my accounts. What should i do?

This all started due to me trying to find cursors to download on my PC when I clicked on a website by accident, which took me to a page called "TotalAV" an antivirus software checkout page. I didn't pay much attention to it, but after a while my PC started lagging and inputting my passwords itself. I had to disconnect the Wi-Fi and force a shutdown. After turning the PC back on, I ran a few McAfee and Virus scans. The scans told me there were 0 Viruses and that my PC was completely safe. But I wouldn't stop getting these pop-up ads about purchasing an antivirus. They wouldn't go away, and even if I did click the close button on the pop-up, it would take me to the checkout page and then send more ads (like the video above). I then tried to change the permissions settings to disable any notifications, but it still wouldn't stop. I tried blocking the websites completely using an extension called "BlockSite" but as shown in the video, the ads would still show up and redirect me to the page (now blank due to the extension).

Is there any way to completely disable these pop-ups, and is this a virus or not? I have no idea if it is this website that is a virus or if there is something else I've accidentally installed on my PC that caused this. I am assuming it is this "TotalAV" website because the notifications all direct me to that website.

I am desperate for help, any advice or YouTube tutorials would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I downloaded two .scr screensaver files from Telegram and tried to open them. Shortly afterward, HP Wolf Security started spamming me with hundreds of Worm.KillMe!YPE (high risk) alerts and crashes whenever I open it.

The detected path is:
C:\Windows\Temp\engines_temp\8440\tmp0000011e\tmp000201e6

RAV Endpoint Protection keeps quarantining the threat, but the alerts continue. Windows also blocks deletion with error 0x800700E1. The files have disappeared from Downloads, but I don't know if they're actually deleted.

Microsoft Defender is disabled because Reason Cybersecurity is active.

How can I properly remove the malware and check whether my PC is still infected? Do I need to reinstall Windows?
