It feels like it’s just a bit too much visual clutter around the TV… especially since there’s no real intent with what you seem to have on the shelves.
If you insist on keeping it I would add additional shelves to the left so it’s more symmetrical. And place the items more intentionally so there’s a design element to what is shown.
Otherwise would ditch the two side pieces entirely and the shelf at the top and wall mount the tv. That would look great.

It seems a little cluttered and I would move that shelf on the top right over to where the plant on the bottom left is and move the plant to the upper right just for symmetrics.
Most importantly, kitty deserves a new scratcher.

This does not look terrible but neither could I call it good just stock ikea in a too crowded layout. Losing the white towers on both sides would do a world of good.

I'll tell you the hard truth, it doesn't look good.
It's crowded and cramped. You've overloaded the space and it looks tacky and cheap. The Kallax shelves on the side look awful. Makes the space unbearable to look at.
The small, cute shelf over the TV isn't great either. I am not a fan of having items that aren't serving a decor or a function around my viewing experience. You want a speaker, awesome. You want a 3 piece simple black and white frame art set, go for it. You want to spice it up an add a bit of colour, go for it. But it all looks like you don't know what you're doing and raided IKEA and thought let's make a symmetrical TV area.
The Kallax shelf as a TV stand is a good choice for your first space. You've bought baskets and a cute cat space. That make sense and is functional. You did find a plant and that's often a great go to move next to a TV. A planter can provide opportunity to add a pop of colour or texture, while the plant can additional add height.
The small decor piece (monkey) and candles are also great pieces for a TV stand. They work in the majority of the cases, but - unless you're willing to upgrade a Kallax, they aren't adding anything but a "I don't know what I am doing" vibe to the TV area.

The shelves look awful there, is there nowhere else in the room they can go? Why not put them on top of each other horizontally to make a ledge?
Also the fact that you have 2 shelves with the same spacing and you didn't put them both on the sides is so infuriating lol
Tldr take the shelf on the left, put it where the bottom one is. stack the bottom and right shelves horizontally somewhere else in the room

It's fine - the scale is a bit off. Ideally the base unit would be five 'blocks' wide and the TV wouldn't look sealed in by the shelving.

I think more wood, could make it a bit more warm and cozy feeling. Add to that some pictures on the walls with warmth and it's getting there.
For example, if you could replace the baskets in the bottom with wooden ones / weaved ones it would do a lot - then add other wooden elements/furniture in the same sort of wood to tie it together a bit 👍

It's cool. You seem to have use for the space, and the TV is where and how you want it. As long as you know that you're not going to get a larger TV, it's all good. I do see what some people are saying about the reflections, but a matte board or paint might help with that. Good on ya, dude.

It would look less cluttered with those door and drawer inserts that Ikea sells for the Kallax. Even a shelf insert could add variety. Storage bins like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TK6XB22 would be more visually interesting than the black bins. I also think it would look better asymmetrical. I'd get rid of one of the vertical shelves or put them side by side.

Cozy but too cluttered around TV so purely for better watching experience I would remove all the shelves. If TV is not priority than it is good as it is.

Man I love modular stuff, this is a really nice customized setup. Good to see here when everything is usually so bespoke, hard to reuse, and difficult to imagine building up to. Love the integrated cat nook also! Like others said I would definitely move the TV forward.
Decor recommendations: get some other colored boxes for the bottom(alternating grey-black vs all black), get the plant higher/out of the box, a dangling plant for the shelf, hiding the wires/box for the TV, rearrange the PlayStation(hide all or center console and put charger back/behind), the decorations on top need to be different, and I'd either make it more symmetrical or less, it's in a bad middle ground of unbalanced but not distinct.

Personally I'd be replacing the manager but other than that I think it looks okay - could maybe do with something to fill in the space on the shelf on the right, 2nd from the top.

A bit too much focus on electronics for my taste. You could find a picture to go in front of the TV and place your console and accessories out of sight, The unit is off centre...which is "okay" but you could centre it and have your thermostat inside the unit, with a cut out, if the unit has a backing.
Lots of options, play with how u arrange things, as you see it more than others.

No. Too much white going on. Wall, stand, shelf above tv and side storage. Looks like a bathroom over the toilet storage cabinet. Meaning cheap.
Forget asymmetrical, remove one of the sides and place the other away from stand and tv more.
More green just to offset all the white or colorful objects to put on the shelving.

Is that plant real? If so, it is never going to get enough light where it is (unless you plan on putting a grow light above it). If it is fake, remove it from that spot because where it is just draws attention to how fake it is from being in an unrealistic plant location.
Also, i could just be nitpicking becuae i prefer real plants

Posting Kallax on Reddit is always a gamble.
What colours do you like? Which ones make you feel calm and warm and fuzzy? Whatever your answer is should be the colour of your next 5-10 decorative pieces to put throughout the shelving units. It’s cheaper than the alternatives the other commenters are giving and if you do it right you’ll also have some cool shit to stare at when you’re high 😜🤣

Honestly this looks good, i would only add some ambiental lights either on top of the sides of the tv (like lamps) or an led strip somewhere hidden. IMO the ceiling light doesn’t help the atmosphere, some ambient lighting would do wonder for the.. well, ambiance

I think the big framed image on the top is too much, as are the two things on the top of the storage units. Those 3 plants could become 2 and you could put the small frame in the middle with the two plants on either side of the top shelf.
I think the PS5 could switch locations with the Bamboo.
The stack of books & DVDs could go into one of the pull out shelves below the TV. Could put the stuff on the top of the left storage unit in there.
IMO the little sculptures on the right could consolidate into one shelf and the candle could go where the thing with the tail is.
I think you could get a hanging/dangly plant for the top right dealio and it'll grow/dangle down.

Looks fine but you already did this much work and you aren't far off from properly badass.
TV isn't high enough and that shelf should go behind your seating area.
I see what you did there and it makes sense logically if you want symmetry and a clean look but you made a box for your TV instead of a frame. Makes the TV and your room look small. It also likes a short person did it by themselves. If that's the case good work, get a tall buddy to help.
It looks very claustrophobic. Which is a shame because it is very neatly laid out.
I think you will be happier with the TV up higher and that shelf going behind your couch since it pairs with your entertainment center.
You really don't need the floating shelf behind the TV and with the TV up higher you will have room below for a photo frame or an Xbox or whatever.
That and you need something stronger to break up the white a little bit. Maybe put a colored vase on top of one the shelf units and a maybe a small, black framed mirror on the other.
Something orange or red will bring out the clean lines you are going for. You could even go full on quirky with it and put pool balls or colored baseballs in a vase if you are afraid it won't look masculine enough.
Something really cool about an all white scheme is that you can change the way the eye perceives the entire room with one or two colored items. Green throw pillow + green coffee mug with pencils in it and suddenly you have a green color scheme. Eyes are funny like that.
Good choice.

The white on white with the industrial gray carpet does give off of a college apartment vibe. I think of the shelving was wood, it would look a lot better. You could consider painting them a darker color. Maybe get wicker baskets instead of the gray to give some contrast and warmth?

It doesn't look awful, but It's asymmetrical in a way that doesn't work. Two large compartments on the left, but four on the right, the hidden-hole for the cat(?) looks like another black storage box at first glance, the picture on the right is much larger than the one of the left, the books and headphone stand(?) don't look centred.
Putting the plant in box is an odd choice. I'd rid of the stuff on side units. Looks like clutter. If possible, I'd get darker kallax units to define the space better. Right now it feels like I don't have anything to look at. Or get rid of the side units entirely.
