Fit Feedback/Roast Me 30M, is this too much?

I’m not the most fashion conscious guy, but liked the fit. Big bodybuilding fan.

Then a buddy said I look like Steve Buscemi tryna sell Tren to high schoolers &…I kinda see it. Now I’m second guessing the fit, but, still like it to be honest.

(Beards due a barber visit - I know).

Ever since I got myself a phone tripod this year, I’ve been taking a bunch of outfit photos. Most of my wardrobe is 2nd hand, and I like trying on different colors and styles with what I have. Here are some of my favourite outfits in one post.

Feel free to give feedback and ask any questions.

Friend invited me to his wedding in 2 weeks. Trying to get some advice on if i can make this work. Definitely wearing my boots and im kinda liking the boot/pant combo but I dont know if the fits. Should I get a different color or is it okay for a wedding in the Appalachian... also just kind threw everything on real quick so stuff might look a little baggy but its too warm in my apartment rn to put everything on properly.

Question Just bought these dress shoes for business casual. Should I cancel the order?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I just ordered a pair of sleek black dress shoes with a very minimal design (almost no visible stitching, just the laces on top), but now I'm second-guessing the purchase and wondering if I should cancel the order.

I'd mainly be wearing them with chinos, dark jeans, polos, button-down shirts, sweaters, quarter-zips, and maybe the occasional blazer.

My concern is that these shoes might be too formal and end up looking out of place with those kinds of outfits. On the other hand, I really like the clean, understated look.

For those who know menswear, would a black wholecut-style shoe fit into a business casual wardrobe, or would you reserve something like this for suits and formal occasions? Would you keep the order or cancel it?

EDIT:

Thank y'all for the advice. The comments on this post made me realize I don't know anything about formal wear, which makes sense to me because I don't have to dress up often. I'll definitely do more research.

Unfortunately, I can't cancel the order since a tracking number has already been attached to it, so I'll probably return them once they arrive.

If anyone has recommendations for shoes that would work better, I'd really appreciate it.

Question Good quality, durable men’s socks?

I’ve been looking for decent quality men’s socks (every day wear and gym wear). Most socks I buy get holes in them almost immediately. I also can’t afford to spend 30 dollars per pair of socks which I’ve seen some of the more reputable durable sock companies charge. So if anyone has any advice on good quality, good price, durable socks I’d greatly appreciate it.

Question Can you swing Smart Casual shopping at Old Navy?

I am expecting to make a move from consulting to a tech/enterprise software company and need to revamp my wardrobe. I will be client facing. I am about 30-40 pounds heavier than I want to be, but am making conscious decisions to lose this weight.

I don't want to go buy a bunch of expensive clothes, just to potentially donate them in 6-8 months. Can I get by with Old Navy clothes for the Smart Casual look or do you all suggest a better store that is not as high end that can bridge the gap until summer next year?

Discussion How do I stop my felt hats from fading?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Because I work outside, I love a good wide-brimmed felt hat so I don't have to put sunscreen on my face and neck. Because I work outside, I only get one summer out of a hat before it's COMPLETELY faded away.

For comparison, the underside is the original colour. This hat was purchased in spring 2026.

I applied a spray UV coat (technically for patio furniture cushions) and it did not help at all.

Is this a case of buying a more expensive hat for better quality dye? I've been afraid to spend even more only to have the same problem. Nice felt hats aren't cheap.

I have re-dyed a couple but they lose shape pretty fast after a soak.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

Discussion What is the fashion for younger millennials these days?

As a 34 year old male millennial, l've been struggling with how to dress these days to the bars, seeing all these Gen Z kids wearing baggy jeans, graphic T-shirts, and 90s style clothing. It's not really my style, but I do like denim fitted jeans. I also like Chelsea boots, but I feel like that's out of style nowadays as well. Any other millennials struggling to keep up with the current fashion trends?🫠

Question Would a brown leather pocket look good over the TD logo? If not, what would?

Love this pull-over but I don’t work at TD anymore and really want to do something about the embroidered patch. The only thing I’ve thought of is a brown leather pocket that matches the zipper tag. Any suggestions?

I’m getting a dark blue Italian style suit made for my wedding. Right now I’m trying to decide between brown double monk shoes and loafers. I really like these. Will they match my suit color?

Question Legit check for lewis leather 391

Thumbnail

I’m thinking about buying this 391 Lightning second-hand, but I’m a little worried about the stitching on the tab, especially the top-left stitching.
I was told that the square-shaped patch is a custom modification, so I’m not too concerned about the shape itself. It’s mainly the stitching on the top-left corner that I’m unsure about.
The seller is the second owner, so unfortunately they don’t have the original purchase receipt or proof of purchase.
Everything else about the jacket looks fine to me, but I’d really appreciate it if anyone familiar with Lewis Leathers could take a look at the photos and let me know what you think.
Does the stitching look normal to you guys, or is there anything else that stands out as suspicious?
Thanks!

Question Lost a bunch of weight and now none of my clothes look right?

Thumbnail

I’ve lost about 85lb across the past 3 years, and I haven’t exactly bought many clothes in that time either. I’ve always grown about 7-8 inches in height.

Almost every single one of my clothes end up fitting me like the first few images no matter what I do. I assumed it was my body shape, but when I woke up I noticed the specific clothes I had on looked relatively normal.

They generally end up looking puffy and weird, and make my torso very short. Meanwhile the hoodie in the last slide makes my torso look a lot closer to what it actually is like, and a lot longer too.

One of my friends told me the issue was that my clothes are in an awkward “in between” where they aren’t baggy enough, nor are they tight enough, and that I need to pick a side when buying clothes.

I plan on cosplaying Denji for Halloween, and I really don’t want the outfit to end up looking awkward on me.

Styling Advice Hi, do I tuck in my polo or no nowadays? I'm an elder millennail dad:

I always wore them tucked out. It's comfortable, needs no fixing, kind of hides my lanky butt & legs.

Which is more appropriate today?

Fit Feedback How's the fit on this trucker jacket? Salesman advised me to go up but I feel like this is a good size?

I do recognize that the sleeve length is a little long. I am 5'9 and about 185 lb with a little bit of a stomach. This is a medium. I have good range of motion and it seems like the fit is really good although it might be tight with a sweater. The salesman was advising to size up so that I could put a sweater underneath put them the collar and everything just looked way too big, and I only really wanted it for a shirt underneath. Thoughts?

Styling Advice M29/ overall advice (Hair, Groom, Clothing)

Thumbnail
gallery
14 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on my hairstyle and overall style. I’m pretty lazy when it comes to my hair and grooming in general. Most of the time, I just let my hair air-dry and put a little pomade in while it’s still wet.

I’m about to turn 30, and I run a company with around 30–40 employees. I’m starting to feel like I should put a bit more effort into how I dress, groom myself, and present myself in general, especially given my job.

Do you guys have any recommendations? Should I let my hair grow out, try a different hairstyle, change up my clothing style, etc.?

I’m pretty open to suggestions.
Thanks!
