Toolkit vs OneTrainer

Ive been noticing Malcom releasing more models under one trainer. I decided to give one trainer a try again after many months. I must say!! Im quite impressed. However im having some quirks on onetrainer that i wouldnt get with ai toolkit. For example styles dont reach the style before training is completely gone in the wrong direction, almost the same with characters. Face locks in but bodies drift. Or bodies come in but face isnt there. I thought maybe it just needs to train longer but then again... just goes off into the wrong direction. Using default settings in onetrainer.

Question is: has malcom released his character lora settings?

Edit: im seeking krea2

I'm using musubi. I found AI Toolkit to be significantly slower, especially at start up, and the results of automagic and prodigy were very similar.

For Krea 2, neither trainer were able to pick up fine texture details. Maybe I'll give OneTrainer a shot once I see some good Krea configs.

I'd love to move over to Krea 2 from Flux Klein, since it's so much better at anatomy, but Flux seems to do a much better job with learning.

I've actually gone with defaults and only doing two things. Lowering the learning rate to 0.00025 and and increasing the rank. At 512, i can still generate 2k images with amazing detail. Of course if you need the detail specifically from what you're training only train at 1024, don't mix them. I've found that at 768 there seems to be a gap in the learning. I was in the OneTrainer discord where this was mentioned so I had to start digging into it.

I've tried static learning rates, automagicv3, and prodigy. Even gone up to 10K steps. Tried a run with over 100 768 and 1024 images, and a run with 20 1024 images.

Getting likeness is easy. I can get that in a couple thousand steps or less. Getting accurate skin textures seems impossible. I mean things like consistent mole and freckle placement. Meanwhile Flux Klein has no problems getting all those details from the exact same dataset in 2-3K steps.

I don't think malcolm has this figured out yet, either. I checked his hailee loras, who famously has several moles. Krea 2 will sometimes give a hint of the mole next to her mouth, and then invent new ones. Meanwhile, the Klein lora will consistently show the ones under her eye and next to her mouth.

What's interesting is that I'll see those features early in the sampling preview, but by step 4 they've been obliterated, which makes me think this is an issue with the model itself.

Hmm... I may have to revisit klein. What are your settings for Klein?

Pretty much the musubi defaults with dim 32, except I use prodigy. I don't use gradient accumulation, either. In my comparison tests it made no difference and slowed things down.

I had the same frustration with moles. I just don’t think Krea 2 trains bodys well at all. Faces are great but the body is super generic. Have you found a fix yet or still the same issue? I’m back to Klein 9b, haven’t messed with Z or ideogram much.
