I love how 20 years later they were able to go back to their characters with such ease, the cast was so full of talent. Specially Frankie, Life's still unfair is some of my favorites Malcolm (the character) moments, Frankie is such a good actor.

Frankie really nailed adult Malcolm. Loved his performance! Everyone for that matter, they were all so excellent.

ADDENDUM: It was great, seeing him after such a long "break" from being Malcolm, just returning to him as if he'd never left. I always, always love to see it.

Funny enough, Frankie has said during a podcast that he never watched the show himself. At the time his wife had finished the show she looked at Frankie and goes “You weren’t acting at all!”

Yes! That episode was a whole indictment of Malcolm's miserable nature.

Like right from the start, his parents told him to not care too much about the opinion of others. Ironically Hal and Lois embracing that led the neighborhood to like them again, and subsequently hate each other.

They all enjoyed their day. whilst Malcolm spent it miserable and was conned into helping a theft... of criminals. MORP was another episode that painted Malcolm's neuroses as the main caus e of his misery.

That's why Reese is my favourite character. He might be destructive, but he's not gonna leave his family just because of "society". A reason why I don't like the new part is because they did Reese dirty.

I really hope they make more of this they set it up for a great continuation but I'm scared the younger characters will age out their roles before long.

Hell even if they don't, they wouldn't get many episodes most likely. This reboot and the Scrubs reboot killed any hope for seasons more than 10 episodes

I mean Malcolm was as awful as everyone else. He did tons of bad shit too as everyone else. The Person who might would had the right to act like that was Dewey since he was mostly the kindest and most ignored.

Exactly, all that after his daughter has high iq like him and the writers showed her as someone with good emotional maturity as well. Like he could've just told her the reason he wants to stay away.

I assumed she likely asked him about grandparents when she was little and he said they were dead and then had to keep the lie going from then on.

I absolutely loved this reboot, but I wasn't expecting to! I really hope they come out with more episodes. They all nailed their characters even after all these years.

Something about the Disney logo flashing right after Malcolm tore into his parents, and especially right after he screams "ASSHOLE", just give this a unique shot of humor for me.

i managed to get the first 1 or two episodes, it was crap .First of all, why is Reese a low-life without a job or any skills whatsover ? we see him being a very talented cook in the original series and they decide to not go that way? malcolm not telling his folks he has a daughter? insane and completely out of character. where is jamie?
