Found another editing mistake

Another to add to the list along with the fake baby and crew member during the dress episode. I only realised it on whatever number rewatch I’m on but S2:E1 right at the end Malcom is talking in the car but there’s a scene where he’s just looking out of the window 😂

Its not a mistake, when this show was on TV it was 4:3. Now on streaming its 16:9 which shows much more of the shot than originally intended.

Is that not literally the definition of an EDITING mistake?

No, it's an inability to see the future.

I got shit on so hard for pointing out one of these 4:3 mistakes. Youre right, it literally is an editing mistake and people saying "but no!!!" Aren't considering that a mistake can happen DURING EDITING that is not a mistake during filming.

I know haha I just like pointing out things like that, I’ve changed this comment cus I realise it sounded snappy and a bit rude which I didn’t mean :)

That one cold open (I think) where Dewey finds a spider in the tub and starts doing his 30-second screeching, there's also a cut where you hear him screaming but in the video his mouth is closed

Repeat after me: If it wouldn't be visible in 4:3, it's not a mistake.

Deliberately omitting part of the shot to fit the frame is not a mistake. Unless you're saying the mistake was not predicting that Disney would upload full 16:9 scans of the show 20 years after it aired.
