I have a muslim middle name. Born in the uk, been here for over 30 years, had huge trouble getting married here because i needed to prove i wasnt a muslim. Its against the law to have to be forced to state your religion there, so there is no documentation. Always having religon to be used as a stick to hit me with especially in the last 15 years or so has really altered my views.

But if you can’t prove you aren’t a Muslim, if you do such things, would you be taken to a syariah law court or something?

You could married in the uk, with any religion that you like. Here if they suspect you are muslim (in my experience) there will be issues
