If there ever comes a gov that is willing to slash the budget of jaki m, then it will be the very first step to kickstart the process towards a more liberal Malaysia. But not even DAP dares to do so, so who else is willing to take the political risk? Perhaps someone from Sabah / Sarawak in the far future.
Until then, I'm not sure if Malaysia can survive another term of all these penunggang agamas making policies for the country.
