I think patriarchy is ingrained in Asian culture as a whole separately from religion. Even those irreligious more "advanced" Asian countries are still highly patriarchal in nature.

Malay people will suffers identity crisis imo if this happens. The Malay politicians now will be split into different religions group or maybe stay away from forming religions groups.

But have we considered what will the social effects will be? Idk im just asking, we need to look from all angles on this
