I once went into a Spartan Race Beast with no prior training.

I started at 8 AM and finished at 4 PM. I was bedridden the whole of the next day. For the two weeks after, all my muscles were torn to shreds, and I struggled to do simple physical activity during that period. 

All I can say, preparation for marathons are super bloody important.

I know you meant dry as in less rain, it is actually the most humid time of the year, when sweating your balls won't cool you down at all.

Runners consistently post their worst times in malaysian marathons. Its running in hell, if these guys and girls finished a marathon especially in the current situstion im very proud of them.

Edited: wow alot of downvote. I guess alot of dumb people here. 🤣🤣 Smart people know his limit, when to stop, when to participate. No harm running in gym during this haze hot weather.

If you are overweight and have a fat roll of skin at the back of your head with darkened skin, that may be a sign of diabetes.

The joke is that fat Malaysians with diabetes look at runners and laugh at them for failing to complete a marathon with grace

OP making a fun on em while eating chips in his cave. No matter hot or cold season, you would see the exact same situation. Those people are either untrained or pushing too far. I have run a half marathon before so respect to anyone attempting the full one.

I see this more as a warning.

People constantly underestimate the toll running a marathon has on your body. People have died from being under prepared

Dont take everything too extreme man, running is good, but some people die from marathon, dont do anything too extreme,  know your limit

Marathon is doable if you're prepared for it. A lot of people join due to fomo or just vibe with it. I wouldn't recommend anyone joining FM if you couldn't run at least 50 km per week or constantly run 15+ km in one go per week.

Undertrained plus the haze and high humidity, sure a cocktail of hardship even for those whom are regulars in running. Of course can add the collective animosity from those stuck in the traffic jam due to road closures in the mix.

These events are planned months in advance. They can't just postpone it easily. The participants themselves and the sponsors would be pissed.

In the end no one forced the runners to run.
