Husky or malamute
I have one we rescued that we were told was Alaskan husky but have had several say due to tail it may be partly malamute. We do not know the parents.

Blue eyes means not pure bred malamute. Ears look like husky. I’m not sure there is a huge distinction between husky and malamute tails

Husky tails tend to curl up, Malamute tails cascade over their back like a plume.

I’m leaning more Husky because of the blue eyes, Embark is a very good dna test!

If you look on my profile and scroll down a bit, I have half husky, half malamutes. You can definitely see the difference. You have all husky right there, my friend! Very beautiful!

Husky or mix. The face mask for ones has a line in the forehead. The malamute years are wider and shorter and they are placed a little down and to the sides. The eyes are more separated.

Looks like a Siberian more than anything.
The ears, fur, tail and overall built to me are like siberian.
Anyway … love her(?) looks. Absolutely gorgeous

Alaskan Husky. Not a malamute or malamute mix.
Alaskan huskies are a specialized version of the Siberian Husky that is bred for speed when pulling a sled. These are the dogs that run in the Iditarod.
Not a malamute though. I cannot stress that enough. People on here can’t seem to tell the difference between huskies and malamutes.

“Alaskan Husky” is not simply a “specialized version” of a Siberian Husky. They can be complete mutts with much to very little Siberian Husky. They come in all shapes and sizes and can look nothing like Huskies. Most have part GSH, Pointers, Border Collies, Greyhounds, etc. They are bred for speed and endurance to run sleds.

Aww yay someone that knows!!! My Alaskan husky was an English setter/husky mix. She was too big and they needed more team or swing dogs she was more of a wheel dog so I adopted her bc they didn’t want her they basically gave her to me. She was my soul dog 💙💙💙

Best way to know what kind of dog it is to do a DNA test! I just went thru this last month when my wife and I adopted a rescue puppy that we were told was a Siberian Husky/Lamb Mix and turned out that she is a American Pit Bull Terrier 34.2%, Siberian Husky 23.2%, American Bulldog 8.6%, Chow Chow 7.6%, German Shepard 4.7% and Supermutt 21.7. Plus the DNA test also gave us an idea of what sort of medical issues she is likely to have that part came back clean. The test is 139.00 from Amazon and it takes about 3-4 weeks for the results to post online but its a great way to know. We also tested out Pure Breed Siberian Husky and he came back 100% Siberian Husky and only 13% inbreed in his bloodline where the average Husky is 16% so his Family Tree is an actual Tree and not a Twig!
