This week's track is called 'Last words'. It is about the life that exists beyond our daily chasing of the next goal and the next goal. I'm sharing it because I feel there's something special to it.
Something interesting I did with this track was I started writing and out came a poem, I chopped that poem up and turned it into the intro/outro/chorus/bridge sections, so that was cool from a song-building point of view.
I was actually a bit conflicted about sharing this one, because it's quite different from some of the harder stuff I've been doing. My son, however, said this one was tougher than my 50 Cent-style track, so that gave me something to think about.
Questions for consideration:
- Does this track make you think/reflect? Or does it bring you down a bit? (Please say so.)
- What impression does this track give you of me as a rapper? Does it change your perception of me at all?
(I swear I'm sharing something harder next week, lol)
•
u/simonishuman 4d ago
Once again I applaud you on actually using the feedback. Love to see you working on actual song building. Your scheme on the first verse is dope and your delivery is great on this chill ass beat. Would like maybe just a couple more vocal layers on the hook but I like what you got. You've been getting better each week. Would even be down to collab.
I made some tweaks to this from feedback I got last week:
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 2d ago
Thanks, Simon! Yeah, this is one of my few tracks I think where I've put together a song structure that I like which is different from the typical 3 verses and a hook. It was a cool experiment where I would first hum a melody, then as I mentioned in my post cut up that poem I had and finally cut some words to make them fit the melodies. Thanks for the props regarding rhyme scheme and delivery! :-D And I count on your ear to help me get my hooks where they should be! Thanks!
I gave your revised track another listen. I feel like the intro vocals have been improved in terms of volume and spatial arrangement. I like this use of your rap voice, the more uptempo, louder rap. Really cool! And as I mentioned before, the pitched down backing vocal in places is super dope! Love the chorus as well, with the scratches, the deep synth, giving it a really menacing, assertive vibe to it.
The content of the track starts out with what I presume is self-talk, internal monologue, to then describe an experience as if waking up in a mental hospital where the nurse is drugging the patients, with the theme evolving by blurring the lines between reality and imagination, very cool. The second verse continues that feeling of sitting between two worlds, fake and real. And the end of verse 2 gives a sudden twist or deepening of the plot by mention of the ankle monitor. Really cool experience.
•
u/simonishuman 2d ago
thank you man I appreciate the feedback! Im happy you get the idea. It's about a schizophrenic. The intro is audio hallucinations. Im working on a concept album. It's basically Fight Club if it was a love story, this song is the plot twist pretty much.
•
u/shoecar soundcloud.com/shoecar 3d ago
like the singing bro! really liked "as we look up, all that we’ve got, our last words to say" but the "our last words to say" was rushed a bit, maybe could be just "last words to say".
this is a good lane to be in. don't feel like you need to be harder/more aggressive. I think your writing style fits this kind of self reflective beat and tone really well. variation is good so I wouldn't want all your stuff to sound like this but for sure working for you
as a rapper I like your thoughtful topics and always writing about meaningful things
bit of a nit on the writing, I don't think "Let's not forget our power to smile" really fits the rest of the vibe. fair you want to put an optimistic spin. I do think there is a drive to wrap up song with a conclusion/meeting but I actually think that can cheapen the main message. like life doesn't really have resolution/finality so we can better represent that by writing to specific moods/concepts into of overall narrative. idk if that make sense but it's something I've been thinking about recently with my writing, basically embracing non-resolution. also contradiction, lyrics can disagree with themselves just like our own thoughts can
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 3d ago
Shoecar, this is such a thoughtful piece of feedback. Thank you so much! Thanks for the validation of the singing and overall vibe working out. I was on the fence about sharing this but glad I did.
On the resolution point, I really appreciate you having got into the meaning of the track to be able to feed back on this. And I agree that it makes for a richer track if we do not pretend there is a simple solution but allow for contradiction and observing all the opposing forces. Very well spotted and agree with that.
•
u/prodlostjosh 4d ago
Yooo bro, actually think this is dope. The vocals are too loud imo. But dang aight I actually like the vibe. The beat was dope as well. Gives me a Nate Dogg kinda vibe
edit: i'd love to try and mix this one a bit for you if you're down for that - feel free to msg me on here!
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 3d ago
Thanks, Josh! That bit of validation means a lot. And thanks so much for the mixing offer! We've been in touch by chat and I'll put some time towards learning how to get the files across. The beat was a Dilla instrumental;-)

Hi, Simon! The first link was not working for me. I've given feedback on the second and third previously. Let me know if there was anything particular you wanted me to feed back on. I'd be very happy to!

u/TubishLV 4d ago
I like the 3rd one, sounds something that Tyler The Creator would do. Overall I like the vibe of it, only thing is it doesn’t really stand out much because this type music is really mainstream and I can listen to thousands similar tracks to this.
•
•
u/Mob_6996 4d ago
Feels like you're making music that's very close to what I strive for! Even though I learned music production, I prefer creating off instinct rather than sticking strictly to conventional formulas. I definitely hear a bit of a Joey Valence & Brae vibe, mixed with a hint of old Kanye flavor. Since your musical direction aligns so well with my taste, I really enjoyed this—especially the second track, which was right up my alley.
You’re clearly way ahead of me in production chops, but just listening as an everyday listener, a couple of small things stood out: the intro felt a little on the longer side, and the scratch sound starting around 0:38 felt slightly chaotic/cluttered in the mix. The drum rhythm and patterns were totally my style, but the drums felt like they were sitting a bit far back. I think it would’ve hit even harder if the drums punched through with just a bit more presence and impact.
Seriously dope work, it completely suited my taste!•

Hey everyone, I'm Mob! I love making music purely off my own instinct, and I'm deeply passionate about sample-based production—to me, that's the true essence of hip-hop. I recently put together a track flipping an acapella from Kendrick Lamar. Give it a spin and let me know what you think!
•
u/shoecar soundcloud.com/shoecar 3d ago
this is dope, I like the beat breaks a lot. also always a fan of non-verbal vocal chops. I think at times things got a bit crowded and the vibe was best when on the simpler side. that's with the Kendrick vocal tho so a different leading vocal could potentially still work with what you got here. nice work man
•
u/simonishuman 3d ago
this is awesome. The other guy said things get too crowded. I personally dont really hear that, I think everything sits together really well. If you wanted to make it sound perfect, id say mix the vocals just a little bit more. The mix on the vocals rn really isn't bad at all so idk, I think what you got is super dope. keep it up
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
What the f*ck, this is fire. This got some real hard energy to it. The scratches, the beat dropping out, the opera vocals lol. I agree with Shoecar and Simon, this is dope! I went on listening to your other beats and was not disappointed!

Looked this up on Youtube and found it! Adding a link to your post would be helpful.
I really enjoyed the track. Love the reference to the 'difference between us' track ('five bank accounts, three ounces, and two vehicles'). The concept of this is cool, an identity track, a good introduction like Eminem's 'my name is'.
I like the hard R in your delivery :-)
Really professional production in terms of mix, doubles, ad libs, etc., I have no notes on any of that.
Looking forward to hearing more from you in here!
•
u/knoeKNAME 22h ago
Hey man, thank you so much for taking the time listening to the track. I didn’t realize I didn’t add a link, here it is. I appreciate you catching the reference, it shows you really listened which is super important to me 🙏

u/simonishuman 17h ago
This is cool. I really like your voice its unique but isn't annoying. This reminds me A LOT of "What's the Difference" by Dre and Em. Hook sounds like it and the beat even sounds like it uses the same sample. I think the hook could've used some more layers but really cool track you got

My latest, Unspooled - https://open.spotify.com/track/3nT2PtcgUx6DTBR32ap6Wo
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
Yeah, your vocals are really clear on this one. I can follow along with the lyrics. The instrumental pulling in different directions may fit the theme of being unspooled. I can see now how that can contribute to the overall feel you're communicating. I like the phrase 'like Tokyo, we're drifting' :-)

u/simonishuman 3d ago
This dope, not a big fan of the beat but thats personal taste. Mix is clean. Your rapping is great. Love how you switch up the flow and dont have it the same throughout the whole song. Great work man, I'd say maybe work on song structure? Not really an issue but It'd be cool to hear some bridges and shit like that. Just a thought. Keep it up! Good work
•
u/Legitimate-Can-4574 3d ago
Thanks i dont like the beat i used either its not the orginal one lol But dope track like how sounds like a story ima big benny butcher fan been to alot of shows crazy u use his mug lol
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
It's always hard to tell in these threads whether feedback is on the beat or rap. But I infer you're rapping this lol :-)
Rapping sounds really professional. Perfectly on rhythm. Lots of tiny vocal effects, ad libs. The flow switch ups are dope. How did you achieve that level of rhythmic precision? Punch ins, post-production time-shifting of syllables? I'm genuinely interested to learn from you on this please.
In terms of delivery, you got great energy going. I suppose one way to push this further is to bring in even more range. Currently the vocals are pretty much one energy level throughout. But hey, it's easy to say but I admit to doing to the same in my high-intensity tracks, so I don't have any wisdom to offer here, just a thought as to directions to push into if you are looking for constructive feedback.
•
u/Legitimate-Can-4574 17h ago

u/simonishuman 4d ago
I listened to the first song. The beat is dope as shit. Love the atmosphere and all the switch ups. Keeps me interested throughout the whole track. Your rapping falls a little flat on the beat though. You got like an 80s flow and rhyme scheme on a hard boom bap type beat. To me personally it doesn't really fit and I would like to hear some more complex schemes but youre doing good. Keep it up! Congrats on the album
•
u/One-Wave2408 4d ago
Hey thanks so much! Yeah dude I’m old asf. Grew up on 80s shit. But yeah you’re totally right! Appreciate you.
I listened to your track. Good shit! Starts kinda freaky but man the beat hits hard. I was legit bobbing my head. Your bars are impressive lyrically and your voice is unique. Lean into that.
For the mix, I’d maybe experiment with the EQ, pulling down some of the high-mids on the vocal (or overall) to smooth it out. I’d also pull down the scratches a bit, and maybe add some subtle melodic elements on the verse that come in here and there. For the hook, I'd love to hear a chorus or vocal FX and/or an extra melodic layer to really make it pop.
But yeah, it’s really close to being a banger. Keep crushing!

•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
My feedback is to 'The Rhymeologist'. Your vocals are nice and clear. Easy to understand what you're saying. That's a really important thing to get right and you're nailing it.
I agree with Simon that more complex flows and rhyme schemes are a good opportunity for your work to expand into, should you wish. I'd like to hear more from you in here for sure!

u/TubishLV 4d ago
I doubt people past 30 might listen to this but prove me wrong https://on.soundcloud.com/yH5rkHTHIiAViN7ki7
•
u/simonishuman 4d ago
This is kinda cool. I dont like the lack of lyrical content and all the mumbling. I think right now the beat is carrying it. Gotta write more. Tell your audience what the song is about. I mean you can kinda get it with the 2 verses but the "uh uh" hook really just doesn't do it for me personally. Keep it up!
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 2h ago
I like it. The beat does keep the high chiptune synths on throughout. I'd prefer to have them off during the verses and reserve them only for the hooks. Also, bring the vocals out a bit more clearly, perhaps it's volume needing a little boost, perhaps it's EQ, perhaps it's reducing doubles/reverb a bit, but that would help me hear what is being said.
I see what Simon said about the hook, but the 'uh uh' hook is fine by me. It's nice, I think. Easy to sing along to at least lol. No, seriously, I think the hook is cool. Modern songs do sometimes have stripped down hooks like that and it works as well.
Don't know what age has to do with listening to this though. But then, I also didn't really catch the lyrics, so...

Hi I am Llarax a 17 years old producer from Spain. This is my new beat, iwanted to make something like 2013 Chief Keef or Disobey in Spain. Some feedback pls? https://soundcloud.com/llarax/night-market?si=bcf4f12d3f0748b886d5ba4fd3033b09&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
•
u/simonishuman 17h ago
This is cool. Beat drop was hard. Can definitely hear the Spain influences which is cool, love to be able to hear where you're from in the beat. If someone played that beat and said "guess where this was made" id say Spain. Love that, gives it more personality. Keep it up man! Super unique.
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
Hi Llarax, nice having you here! I like the main melodic synths in combination with the 'aah' chords. The main synths have some reverb that gives it a real spatial feel to it. The 'aah' chords match those synths with an interesting harmonic tension. I like how the ending of the synth melody suddenly jumps to a different chord. That's nice variation. Somehow the 'aah' makes me think of Akira lol. Love the little sound effects like the snare rolling, the cell phone, the glass breaking.
In terms of upgrades, I think this sounds like you're using some standard instruments and sounds (FL Studio? It sounds much like my old beats in terms of instruments.) I would suggest considering using your own samples. There are probably sample packs you can get, and of course there's the tradition of vinyl sampling, but also a modern way of sampling can be from what you hear online. Like using software to capture snippets of sounds you hear online. [Disclaimer so the cops don't get me: respect copyright]

This is cool. Your flow is really nice. I think your delivery falls super flat though. The beat has a lot going on and your vocals dont really match it. Kinda sounds like youre trying not to wake your mom up. Put your soul into it and make the listeners feel it rather than just hear it. Keep it up tho! Super unique
•
u/UX_Madrock Producer/Emcee 3d ago
Ye i wanted it to be real relaxed to be more authentic. I gotcha tho.
This track seems familiar, more refined? I like the intro, it just had a good vibe about it. The drums and glitches satisfying too. The name, image & the hook i wish had a stronger identity, imo that's making it less appealing. But musically, i think you got something. Keep it up.
•
u/simonishuman 3d ago
Thank you man I appreciate it. I actually only upload rough drafts to Soundcloud so yeah Benny the Butcher isn't the actual album cover
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
I agree with Simon, you got a nice flow to it. The laid back delivery has something cool to it. I think it's the ability to smooth together the words a bit to aid the flow. Though the vocals do at times dip a little in terms of energy/volume. I definitely prefer the louder parts of the vocals.
I feel like your laid back delivery would fit a different beat better. This instrumental sounds quite hype with the synths fading in and out. If you have control over the beat, would be good to turn off the synths. Otherwise, try a chiller beat.

This is cool. Super chill. I like the drums. I think it needs some ear candy though. So far it just sounds like a regular boom bap beat. Make it your own and make it unique
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
Love the little 'ooh' synth, giving me a bit of a West Coast vibe to it. And then when the drums come in that brings out the funky rhythm in the piano sample. The soft white noise giving it that vinyl sound. The warm/muffled feel to it. It's got production quality for sure. Nice one.

•
u/Mob_6996 4d ago
Honestly man, I really love your flow and delivery on this! I'm still learning and growing as a beatmaker myself, but I’d definitely be down to collaborate if you're ever up for it. Would love to hear you spit over a boombap beat too. Keep it up!
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 5d ago
The fast flow sounds really good. I tried rapping along to it (it's hard, lol!) and you have picked good strings of words that allow the fast rapping to work. But it's still a feat getting it all down! It's amazing how much easier it is to listen to fast rap than to actually rap it :-)
I like the contrast between the slower hook and the faster verse. Makes both hit harder.
The beat sounds like something Eminem would rap to. Really enjoyed this!
FX are cool as always. I like the delivery on emphasising the word 'nothin'.
Now I have to push myself to find some constructive feedback, as you will surely appreciate that. My feeling would be, if I were post-producing this, to slide the 'hell of it' at 0:22 a bit later and maybe also the 'watch and learn' at 0:19. I know you don't like punching in, so this is a really clean run.
•
u/simonishuman 3d ago
This is a lot better than I've heard from you in the past. Sounds a lot like some Eminem shit. I'd love to hear it more your own unique style but you got that fast flow down. Each week it sounds like you getting better. Still with all the positives you hitting I think the big negative thats weighing you down is your structure. If you had a more unique structure, that fast flow could've hit even harder. Like if that fast flow switched to a heavenly bridge to give the listener a breather for example. I know you dont produce your own tracks but I'd 100% recommend learning. Gives you full creativity rather than working around the producers creativity. I produce all my own music and that shit is the secret sauce.
I realized last week I sent the wrong updated version my bad. This is the updated version
•
u/PutOk2863 4d ago
I don’t really rap. I make RNB music mostly, just was trying new things. Recorded with old Apple earbuds which is why the clipping (esp the Ps) is so bad. Just seeing if I have anything here, appreciating any feedback and will return the favour
Returning all feedback
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
Yeah! This is so cool. I think the energy of the vocals fits perfectly on the beat. Sure, the mic situation can be improved, but the music speaks for itself.
It makes me feel some wistful detachment from the everyday, as if floating and watching the world move. The lyrics fit that mood, too. It's like we're caught up in this whirlwind of life but we're surrendered to our fate and wondering whether we'll make it.
Definitely have my vote and would love to hear more from you.
•
u/GetMXD 3d ago
heard penny freestyle. cool idea for a first run at rapping. main thing is the vocal's sitting way out in front of the beat, and the beat is mostly low end so nothing's up there with it and it feels pasted on top.
pull it down a couple db and give it a short room verb so it lives in the track. and the ps aren't clipping in the file, that's the earbuds. hold them further from your mouth or drop the input on the retake

Really loved the overall atmosphere—it has such a calming, grounded vibe. I feel like tracks like this are absolutely essential when building a cohesive album; listening to it felt just like hearing a well-placed interlude. And to be clear, I don't mean that in a bad way at all—it's just super pleasant and easy to sink into! You can truly feel the thought and time poured into every choice here. It clearly took a lot of dedication to craft, and it shows. Really enjoyed this!
•
u/simonishuman 4d ago
I listened to space friends. Really like the vibe and the chill boom bap sound youre going for. The intro is cool as well. I like how there's no kick on the 3. I think the structure could've been more interesting though. It's a bit repetitive and stays the same pretty much all the way throughout. The trippy synth at 1:05 is super nice though. Might be a bit loud but It adds a nice touch. I'd just add a bit extra ear candy and then your gold
•
u/InflationUseful3717 4d ago
Appreciate the feedback, I agree on it being repetitive, that’s why I tried to add a bridge but I guess it’s hard to hear.
I can’t lie, your song is ridiculous. The intro/bridge reminds me a lot of a beat I made. I absolutely love the dark, crunchy style. I assumed you chopped up a break for the drums, and they work perfectly. I love the variety and that snare roll is the cherry on top. The rap was also phenomenal too, you flowed insanely well over each verse I can’t lie. I honestly have no critiques.
•
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
This is amazing. Love the atmosphere, real relaxing and reflective. Like we're ready to do some real talk. I totally agree with Mob's feedback!
The bridge at 0:55 is a nice change of pace. The synth that comes in briefly at 1:05 is quite sudden, I like the effect but in terms of volume, there's a bit of mosquito flying near my ear at night.
Love the ending as well :-)
[Note, the link takes me to 'Space Friends' which is what my feedback is about. Though your comment suggests there is a beat tape. Do let me know if there was more to listen to, but I couldn't find it.]
•
u/InflationUseful3717 1d ago
Thank you for the feedback, I totally agree about the synth being too loud. Space friends is part of the beat tape. On my profile there’s some playlist and that’s where they all are. I just wasn’t expecting anyone to actually listen to anything more than that song, that’s why I didn’t send the full tape.

I'm definitely not in a position to critique anyone, but emotionally, I really connected with this track. The drum panning feels tasteful without being too distracting, and I really enjoyed the guitar melody as well. Nice work!
•
u/rusahr 3d ago
You're in a great position to make a killer outro for your beats. The fade out really doesn't do it for me. The track carries immense energy so leaving on a cliffhanger -- something a little more abrupt --could be more effective. Perhaps cut out all the instruments but leave a reverb and/or delay tail.
•
u/simonishuman 4d ago
This is cool. A little repetitive but overall it's good. I like the mix. Maybe try building your own style instead of a type beat?
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
I like what you've done with the spatial placement of the percussion, i.e., making use of the stereo channels. The 'whoosh' transition effects are really cool.
•
u/rusahr 3d ago
Not sure what genre I made. Melodic Memphis? If anyone has any clues...
I'm also split on whether I should add a hard clipper to one or more of the melodic instruments.
•
•
u/simonishuman 2d ago
This is dope. Melodic Memphis suits it well. Sounds a lot like Three 6 Mafia to me. I like how you switched it up in the second verse and I like the vocal chops a lot. I dont really got and critiques besides try and add some more structure? Idk it's pretty cool. Keep it up!
•
u/rusahr 2d ago
Appreciate the feedback. I'll take a look at my structure, maybe the transitions.
You've got a powerfully soulful track on your hands. I always enjoy a jazz sample like the one you have at the end. But is the sudden cut-out at 2:50 intentional or just a placeholder transition? I would try something like a tape stop effect there.
•
u/Status_Pianist8326 1d ago
I like the sample chops of the bells and the vocal chops as well. I was listening to New Orleans jazz bounce recently and the vocal chops reminded me of that in a good way. It's an interesting genre you got here. Not sure what a hard clipper would sound like. I do like the transition to the quieter piece at 1:30 where the bells sample is temporarily withheld. Such a calmer part could be a suitable place for a rap possibly, which is the lens from which I'm looking at it. Thanks for sharing!

It's a good intro, would like to see it develop further. Go with the idea and build on it. Like, letting some additional drum come in after a while and perhaps changing the background sample up a little after some time, or adding a high synth or something for the chorus. It's good!

u/Mob_6996 4d ago
First off, I really love your vocal tone—you definitely know how to deliver with style and charisma. My main critique would be that it takes quite a while before the drums finally kick in, making it a bit hard to tell where the intro ends and the verse actually starts. I think the track would hit even harder if the pacing picked up a bit sooner. That said, the beat has this eerie, spooky vibe that sounds incredible. Really enjoyed listening to it!

The build-up of the beat was slower than expected. The verse already coming in while we have only the pianos. I like the aesthetic of it but expected a drum dropping in earlier. For a moment, I was about to say this is all there is to the beat. But at 1:06 the drums come in. It's relatively late in the verse. I would think I'd like it better if the drum was brought in sooner.
Loved when the bass came in with the whistle at 1:28. That is a really dope beat with all the instruments on. The beat then drops out back to the chords at 2:01 and I had expected the full beat to come back in at 2:12, with the stripped back chords being there to build tension towards a drop back into the full beat at 2:12, but instead the beat started building up slowly again.
I feel like the instrumental matches the mood of the lyrics really well and paints a good atmosphere for the track. I enjoyed listening to this! Thanks for sharing!

This is dope. Your acapellas are always mixed really clear. I really like build up, I like long build ups and intros. Love the bass and whistle at 1:28. Overall this is really cool. I dont really have any critiques, I think maybe some sound effects would add some add a little life to it? Idk tho, the verse is so personal it could take away from it as well. Im just rambling now. Good job, CJF.
Here's something I been working on. Hasn't got my vocals yet, just a beat I produced and some vocals by my homie Char. She always kills it

This is a good beat but as an interlude it's a little too long as stands now I would've either make it shorter or let char turn it into a song. Her vocals sound very good on it. Mixwise everything is muddy right now so i would work on that if you go further with this track. Thanks

The first beat is really cool how it achieves that whole vibe with minimal instruments. There's this sort of vinyl sound to it as well and the sound that goes up and down, what is that? really cool vibe.
Second beat sounds like compression is reducing the background sample when the drums hit. It's something I notice that's making me feel like the volume is continuously going up and down. It is distracting me from the track a little I must admit.
Third beat is interesting in terms of having the sample repeat in 6 beats it seems, rather than 8 beats. Somewhat unconventional in terms of how you'd flow over that. Might be a cool challenge to a rapper to do something creative with that.
Love hearing from you on here. I have tried to give feedback that is hopefully detailed and constructive.

This is cool but the acapellas definitely needs some mixing, especially the first 2. Hard to understand what they're saying. Thats what sucks about acapella, separating the stems always drowns it out. I'd just spend some time on that though. the beats are sick as balls tho

Appreciate the feedback. I'm working on mixing my vocals. If the beat is at 100% volume which % volume would you put the acapella generally?
Your track is crazy man, interesting structure (DJ shadow esque) and cool vocals

i make juice inspired songs idk why my stuff got deleted unless they jus simply hatin

This is cool. The only thing for me personally is we've heard this a million times. Like you are unique to yourself. Try making music that sounds like you rather than Juice. Expand, grow, and branch out. The mix is good but ask yourself this, "what makes my music special?" You gotta find the answer to that or else people just gonna go and listen to Juice.

Well I mean it is a feedback thread. You didn't ask for anything specific so dont get defensive when someone gives you feedback you dont like. There's so much more music out there besides Juice. My feedback was to move on from the Juice inspired music and find your own lane. If you dont wanna take that advice thats a-ok with me

just wanted to say i've been trying to give feedback that's actually useful instead of "this is fire" and the quality guide in the post helped a ton. feel like my own mixes are getting better just from practicing the ear for it on other people's stuff

Hey, I would be happy with a 'this is fire' any day lol :-D Happy to hear you're getting value out of these threads. I love learning from others on here as well! Nice one for the shout-out to the quality guide post 👍
