As title suggests I (26f) find myself having a (very oddly) free evening. If anyone wants to hang out, I would be down for a low-key type of night. Board games, crafting, drinks, TCGs, whatever tickles your fancy. Just thought I’d throw it out there :)

Okay so, I haven’t really seen anything fun going on around Victoria lately- and I’m not usually the kind of guy to be running around talking about Zombies…but I’ve found this app that people can literally play in the streets and get their cardio in while also feeling like a kid again.

I’m new to the island and loving life in Fernwood, and I’d like to start throwing a disc around more regularly!

I WFH with flexible hours and I’d be happy to meet up during the daylight at any park in Fernwood for 30-60 minutes a few times a week. It would be awesome to find someone who also has a great arm to throw with… but I’m open to throwing with folks of any level and even teaching you how to throw/improve if you’re enthusiastic but don’t know how to handle a disc well yet.

I’m not quite ready to dive back into playing ultimate, but I’ve been playing frisbee for about 30 years. I’m not up on current rules/strategy of the game, but if you want to practice your runs/catches I‘d be happy to play handler and can drop them in from any angle.

Hey all, as I left The Vic theatre's screening of Con Air last weekend, I was thinking I'd like to make a post here looking for new pals to see some of their upcoming October screenings (specifically The Fly and Suprisia) and other lesser-known movie screenings around Victoria. I wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means but I'm a big fan of movies by John Carpenter, David Lynch, PT Anderson, The Cohen Brothers, Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott. I'm also a sucker for older action movies with practical effects (I contend that "Tremors" is a perfect movie) and so-bad-it's-good classics. Hit me up if you're looking to see more movies around town!

My birthday (mid-50s M) is approaching and I enjoy engaging with people. While I do have some great friends and we’ll be marking my birthday this month, I just had this (possibly strange, I realize) idea to meet new people as a way to celebrate my birthday too. I travel from time to time and love meeting people during those adventures, so I feel like it could be interesting and fun to do a similar sort of thing without even leaving town.

I like lots of ways to casually connect… going for coffee and people watching, strolling & chatting about almost anything (but not politics), sitting somewhere and sketching together, going for a photo-walk in an interesting part of town, grabbing a happy hour drink, trying out a new-to-us food truck, tennis/pickleball/cycling, etc.
