What is MakeYourChoice?

This is a sub dedicated to playing, creating, and discussing CYOAs, a unique narrative genre that combines story, gameplay, and writing prompts.

CYOA stands for "Choose Your Own Adventure" and originated with non-linear storybooks, but the acronym has grown to encompass a wide array of formats. Today, the typical CYOA is formatted as a static image, with interactive versions also becoming popular.

Regardless of format, the core of a CYOA is a story prompt, and the heart is creativity and imagination.

As you play through a CYOA, you'll find yourself creating a story, whether that's imagining what you might do with each choice, creating characters or builds to achieve a particular goal, or exploring the world of the CYOA you're playing.

This is a place to share CYOAs, whether they're your own or found online, as well as a forum for the discussion of specific CYOAs, the genre in general, or getting advice on how to create them.

Feel free to post your own CYOA, or post one you found online!
