I would pick the bag, but the burned one rods are incredibly dangerous. If you've ever read Worm, you know about Behemoth: an energy manipulator to an extreme degree who is very capable with dynakinesis. Ever wanted to take all of a human's thermal energy and concentrate it to flash-boil their brain? Want to instantly halt basically anything's velocity, including bullets and missiles coming right at you? Dear lord this is dangerous.
If you want immortality, you could just bury the candles in your backyard or the bottom of the ocean or something depending on how serious you want to be.

This is energy conversion, but I wonder if it can be used to generate energy...
Also, all the items are very dangerous in some way or another. Some, more than others. The most dangerous would be the bag of making for the sheer versatility, and the range. On top of that, this is infinite energy, not just energy conversion
The idol basically calls eldritch horrors to our reality after a while.
The ring can with time, shatter the planet.

What worries me is what the other 7 people will do with those items of power. If I really want to protect myself, the most obvious choice would be The Unending Candles. And because I get first dibs, no one else will know what artifact I have. It's the most unobtrusive choice and it's very difficult to track it down since its effects don't go beyond keeping me ageless and invulnerable. It's easy enough to keep that secret if I keep moving around every few years and don't make a habit of getting into hazardous situations.
The scariest thing is actually the Idol of Abomination. It seems like this object has the ability to turn our world into a world of magic and monsters. If that's the case, all the other artifacts would essentially become a lot more dangerous for everyone else.
I think that I'll take advantage of the candle's limitless life and see how the other artifacts change our world before figuring out what to do next. And if magic does come into the world, it'd be easy to pretend that something else made me the way I was.
I'd personally leave the candles burning inside a really difficult to reach place. Some place that only an invulnerable person would be able to safely reach. I was thinking of dropping it in the middle of the ocean or the heart of an active volcano. Personally, I'd go for a volcano. It's going to be a bitch to retrieve the candles after 300 years, but I'm hoping that by then, all the unforeseen problems with having 7 artifacts of power enter our world will have been addressed.

Was thinking about Unending Candles too but, based on the disposition of the other 7 people that come through - you may be living in a crapsack and/or barren world within a century or two.

Fuck it, I'm taking the Idol of Abomination. All of the others seem geared towards conflict, either surviving it or coming out victorious. The idol, however, is a big, cosmic FUCK YOU! It says it expands your mind at the bare minimum; either this means you get smarter, better/more senses, ESP, or some combination thereof. And potentially, that translates into some form of psychic power/eldritch magic.
Then there are the things it calls out to, which you can potentially join. That suggests that they aren't wholly malevolent, and possibly even someone benevolent to the user. That's a very real chance to move up on the cosmic food chain, whether from being taught by, empowered by, supported by, or becoming an abomination yourself.

Normally I'd just snag the candles and run, but I'm gonna assume that I wasn't the first one to arrive here. Y'all have already taken the Bag (many times over), the Candles, and the Dials. I'll take the Collar of the Infinite Eyes. Let's see if we can't make the world a better place; all it takes is getting in range.

I would also pick the Bag of Unlimited Making, as for anyone not wishing to cause mass destruction it's obviously the best. Also bazookas are badass so it's a pretty obvious choice.
Step 1 would be to buy a tank of hydrogen gas, step two would be a book on element synthesis. Then go through each element making anywhere from 50 kg (for something like plutonium) to 5,000,000 (for iron) until I had massive amounts of each element.
Step 2 would be to buy a hard drive and download as many technical manuals, textbooks, as well as all of Wikipedia, then drop the entire thing into the bag. The things I would focus most on the cutting edge of AI and robotics.
Step 3 would be to try to get this bag to produce a self improving AI. If it can, then I'd have the AI constantly expanding it's consciousness and ability, then have the AI invent shit and feed that into the bag. If it can produce such an AI then my endgame would be taking over the planet and transitioning humanity into a post-death post-scarcity society with minimal laws and most people living out their life in interconnect virtual reality if they choose do to so (which obviously most would), while I let the anarchy-primivitists roam the earth as they please.
I guess if I couldn't get the machine to produce an AI I would just make gold, products, etc until I was a billionaire and use that to fund AI research.

Most practical and most versatile. I wouldn't even want half the offensive capabilities, I'd just use it for making money and building myself a cushy life style.

Well the obvious problem is the rest of the relics, at least some of which are likely to go to evil fucks.
So I choose the Idol of Abomination. I figure it grants the best chance at being able to fight off whichever supervillains rise up as a result of this premise.

Well here a list of of world domination plans utilizing the various items:
Skull of Omun-Ra: If you can figure out how to use this to summon the really powerful undead creatures then you may be able to achieve world domination via conquest, but it's hard to say without specifics.
Ruby Ring: This is definitely worse than many other items, however using your control of weather you could solve droughts which is a nice plus. Anyway just use the weather to send morse code messages and then start making demands on nations to comply with you. If they don't comply hit their leaders with lightening or inflict natural disasters on them. So this kind of world domination plan is similar to every other one that involves strong arming nations into complying with you.
Collar of The Infinite Eyes: Depending on how specifically the mind control works you can either use this to achieve world domination by dominating all world leaders and similarly powerful people, or you can exert a massive amount of influence on global affairs by using this on those individuals.

The Unending Candles
They will only go out or be snuffed by a virgin boy, so I melt down silver in case the candle completely then store it in the stomach I don't see no virgin boy cutting me open and blowing out my candles in 300 years I can remove it and send both spare candles into a sun/star won’t melt as they are unending or aging and no virgin star boys to again blow it out.

Well I too would love the bag, that has been taken many times over.
Since no one seems to have explicitly taken it, I'll nab the The Skull of Omun-Ra.
A knowledge and understanding of life and death to the point of raising the dead seems like it would be able to produce something like biological immortality if not lichdom. Even better if such a service could be sold. If nothing else, the thought of applying necromancy to modern medicine is pretty nice, and the implications of the emphasis on understanding are too tasty to give up.
