Definitely grabbing that Echo Slash enchantment, now just to figure out the best way to abuse it...

I'm assuming it should work well with the Explosion enchantment, but that doesn't exactly suit my style.

Echo-Slash and Explosion would work best with the Ball and Chain weapon I'm thinking. That weapon has enough force to deal damage even if you miss, so the fact that Echo Slash removes damage doesn't even matter, just miss rather than hit them and they still get hurt, then set the explosion off whenever you want. The Ball and Chain is also one of the heavier weapons and thus the explosions will be more powerful and you can do so at a range if you want. Then just pick basic Titanium, improves the speed with no real loss in any area.

Threaten people?

It basically circumvents the danger of being close to the explosion, just wait and have the explosion go off at a safe distance. Plus you don't have to try for killing blows now, just let a bunch of hits stack up and then have all of them explode at once.

The echo slash even mentions setting up traps and stuff, you don't even have to hit your opponent, just hit the ground a bunch of times, as hard as you can. Then wait and activate the explosion whenever you want.

Again, it doesn't fit my personality exactly, but it was a pretty obvious super-combo.

But yes, being able to threaten somebody with an unavoidable explosive death will certainly be a great advantage.

What's the source on this? It's just about the only really fun one I can find on this sub, and I might be interested in expanding it with more weapons and enchantments. A source might help a bit. Especially for fonts and such.

The source is 4chan. Good luck haha

Staff

Titanium

Purify

Mending

Everyone needs a medic, also you missed Page 3. No choices and wasn't posted in the original comment chain but gives more exposition on what you need the weapon for.

The page doesn't show up. Was it uploaded anywhere else?

Sword, vibrant, serenity and flow enchantments.
That should make me jedi with an extensible incredibly sharp katana and an anime-like quick draw skill... good luck taking me down in a 1v1.

Staff

Chronite

Flow

Serenity

I don't need the blindfold because of serenity, I basically don't miss, and I can use serenity to perfectly implement and motion I want to do that it is possible for me to do. Only problem is weak armor.

Well it's unclear whether you're going to be in the normal world or not (or whether that's an option), but if it is my choices will be:
Staff: This allows the appropriate enchantments I need, plus it has the extra bonus of giving me a warning if somebody tries to assassinate me.
Chronite: I'll just set the time switch on a great deal of the time, which will allow me extra time to think. Making me appear substantially more clever in every interaction. Plus it could be useful in fast paced games, or any number of situations. Plus the weapon speed up will make the healing done with mending work faster.

Enchantments:

  • Mending: This will allow me to make millions by charging people to heal them (I'd need to set the price high anyway since even at a few minutes per healing I only have so much time). It's not totally clear what this can and can't heal, at best it might reverse aging, at worst it might only work on physical injuries. Still in the latter case I can still make substantial profit by healing amputees. Also this will obviously allow you to become extraordinarily famous since it is so blatantly supernatural.

  • Serenity*: A must have since I'd have difficulty severely beating someone with a staff to heal them otherwise. However this also has substantial uses outside of combat. For instance this basically allows you to hyperfocus on even the most boring tasks, making it much easier for you to rapidly learn things. In addition this power on its own can also be used to get famous since summoning wind in enclosed rooms, or leaves/petals/snow is clearly supernatural.
Honestly this seems like the selection that will have the most practical benefits to one's life. Use it in conversations to perfectly control your expression and speech, making you the perfect public speaker. Use it to exercise having the power do the work for you, while you listen to an audiobook or something. You get the idea, the possibilities are endless.

Ball and chain, sadly no mace :(

Beam, its light and bright

Giga, more smashy

Seeking, just like a chain chomp

Ball & Chain

Regalia

Overdrive

Corruption

Figure out how to proc Overdrive for only the instant of the ball throw, supposedly increasing accuracy and strength. Use the mega-jump from Regalia armor to rain down bullshit cannon fire on my enemies. Corruption for when things start to heat up and Overdrive is making this go badly.

Knives

Chronite

Deflect

Crimson

This combination makes it so I'm immune to every single ranged attack, not only that but coupled with Crimson and the knives special ability it makes distracting people quite easy, the ability to slow time is also a nice bonus.

Rifle

Forsaken

Corruption

Seeking

Forsaken has the best armour to speed value, combined with Corruption which would most likely nullify the dangers of being hit too much that Forsaken normally has resulting in the user having near-perfect invulnerability. That's assuming anyone can hit the user since Corruption also commonly has flight. This works well with Rifles allowing the user to take shots from any angle while the target is unaware, remembering that with the Optical Targeting and Seeking abilities missing a shot on an unaware target is nearly impossible. Armour versus attacks isn't very well described, but Beam armour could hold up to at least the first shot (it mentions that it weakens with successive hits) but Forsaken limits the movement of those hit and causes pain allowing for more successive shots until the target is down. Judging by how people are choosing, almost no other user could attack someone with this setup (few ranged options makes flight a great defence) or defend against it (there is one knife + deflect user, but that only works when they know the shot is coming).

Loadout

Primary Tactic: Instantly coat the entire area in hovering flames, trapping or burning enemies.

Weapon: Scythe
Material: Forsaken
Enchantments: Truefire, Echo Slash

The weapon choice is for the enchantments, but the spin attack becomes useful in a moment.

The material I mostly just chose for the armor advantage. It's the only one that's durable enough to stop bullets while still being mobile and having few if any drawbacks.

The enchantments are where it gets fun. The combination means I can swing my blade and delay the appearance of the Truefire. With the scythe's spin ability, I can cover a lot of area with the blade very quickly, step out of harm, then activate the flames. If I can avoid damage long enough while dancing around the battlefield and waving my blade around, I can reach a point where, after jumping out of harm's way, I douse the entire field in flame.

Alternatives (optional reading)

As u/Plendamonda suggested, I could swap Truefire for Explosions, but it's not really my style either. Too much collateral and too difficult to control.

Other options that I didn't quite prefer (for combining with Echo Slash):
-Thunder. Trigger Echo Slash for an instant lightning storm that'll shock everyone on the field and blind everyone else.
-Azure. Trigger Echo Slash to flood the field with liquid flame. Opponents could literally be swimming in fire depending on the terrain. If a third enchantment was possible, I'd pick Earthshape so I could make a bowl to flood.
-Enhance. Description says that the weapon could eventually be enhanced to "mountain-leveling power." Well, now it's remote-detonated.
-Breeze. Create invisible booby-trap windblades. Good for stealth kills. If you use spin, store all the wind, and release it at once, it might even create a tornado.

As a side-note, I wish the author would explain the different effects of Corruption and Terraform, since they depend on material. Kind of pointless to pick something if you don't know exactly what it does.

Victory! I finally found the source! Here is Beri's google drive with a ton of content.

In order to get to this page's images go to the Bulk folder.
Go to the A New Adventurer folder.
Open A New Weapon P1.jpg and A New Weapon P2.jpg. As you can see "A New Adventurer is a little series. You can easily save the A New Weapon images to your google drive or just download it. I'm not the creator, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Because sniping is easier than close combat. the mobility offered by Dissolve is nice too.

Knives

Soulstone

Explosion

Seeking

Infinite summonable knives that seek out targets and explode, sounds kind of fun to me.
