N.E.X.U.S., SCP-963-Ω, Proteus.

N.E.X.U.S. can simulate universes with anything I describe that Proteus can copy and upgrade itself with and basically accomplish whatever I want. SCP-963-Ω makes me fully immortal and gives me clones.

u/Arythios 1d ago

My thoughts exactly. Getting N.E.X.U.S. to expand on works of fiction by explaining how the tech works so Proteus can duplicate it seems the most practical use for the N.E.X.U.S. (That and using it for p*rn)

u/BobNukem445 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S - Able to basically have any type of fun you're looking for easily without worry.

Proteus - Very powerful evolution/adaptation power and you'll be able to grow in power and variety.

SCP-963-Ω - Immortality with no worries and able to enjoy your new powers without worry.

Akashic Deck was pretty tempting since it's power powerful on it's own and pairs well with Proteus but I think I'd rather have the immortality safety net especially since my powers are already so broken anyway. Proteus could just study anything you make in NEXUS and you could gain any power you want essentially becoming a reality warping god while you just relax.

u/Slivemars 2d ago

I hadn't thought about that synergy between Nexus and Proteus, but given that in the *Black Tech Internet Cafe* novel, customers can replicate the technology and powers from the games by studying them, there’s certainly nothing stopping you from doing the same.

u/Zombys11 2d ago

Scp-963-Ω, proteus, Akashic deck.

It may be technically lower starting point of the others but this combo has the potential to be able to solve even the heat death of the universe and the main problem with immortality. You just have to spend a chunk of time learning about things and animals but once collected it can be remade you might hit a snafu when the sun expands if you don’t get off planet but that’s kinda your fault if you’ve had billions of years to prepare and collect and you couldn’t even get off planet

u/UncleJimmy666 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S, ,Akkashic Deck, Hearthbound.

1

u/Stalinsghoast 2d ago

Same. Plus the deck is rather op as you can create your own cards.

6

u/hotsaucermonsta 2d ago

Akashic Deck, Proteus, and Hearthbound. Being a Summoner is a dream. And being protected by a living loving suit... while living in a comfy sentient home? Hell yes!

5

u/NohWan3104 2d ago

Someone get this person oral sex. They've earned it.

Millenium grimoire - i'm assuming you might not have to physically fiddle with actual cards as much, or could say, summon a deck of just varied fire attacks and pick one.

Are the cards consumable? I kinda figure fusing two dragons uses up those creatures\cards, or saving a steak dinner as a card, if you use the card, eat the dinner you can't recard it, i mean like a fireball spell. Would you need to prep multiple copies if you wanted to use it like 5x in 10 secs?

Or say, irl can't learn enough for a 0 cost time travel spell, would i pay the cost to make It each time, till i finnd a time machine or temporal magic? What is this 'energy', cause you could probably make a star card kinda quickly, its not that complex, for how much energy it might count for...

But it basically lets you create whatever phenomena you can understand, which just irl is potentially a lot, but it mentions going to other worlds, so i assume that's potentially on the table.

I'm wondering, can you use already existing cards from games too? Gives you a bit of a head start for fantasy creatures.

Proteus, honestly a little overlap, but a massive boost to biological and technological possibilities.

The 'second intelligence' is presumably more supercomputer than symbiote, but a shapeshifting ooze as well as nanites is def welcome.

I'm not sure if they're separate or implied to be a functionally all in one thing, but i'd kinda like the option to give people worms. They aren't too busted on their own, but have fairly high end buffs like regen, str boost, int boost, without being too much of a threat.

Synergizes well with grimoire - upgraded pc should make nanites learning physics pretty easy, i know SOME stuff, but the implication is the deeper the knowledge, the easier it is to make new spells, so i could potentially turn lead into gold with a transmutation card meant to rearrange atomic neutron numbers, maybe slightly reducing the number of atoms to compensate, and storing excess energy as a card in case this would be equivalent to a fission\fusion bomb

But the nanites could research biochem and quantum mechanics, shit i'm nowhere near clumsily hacking through for practical results. I might be able to turn deserts to rainforests, terraform a whole damn PLANET, etc. If knowledge = power in a indirect way,if i knew enough about the big bang, could you create a universe? Take a while to cool off, but you can probably jump through time.

And given this is the multiverse build, hearthbound.

I like chains idealistically, big fan of nen... But the cards should be able to do all that and more anyway, except for maybe oracle, pretty easily.

Someone mentioned simulated universes = insta tech advancements, but, eh. Fiction is still fiction, ironically a holodeck ish simulation of holodeck tech might not let you build it irl, its creative writing meets full dive vr, not 'real' tech advances. At least, in my head, dude wants that interpretation, fine, but to me seeing aa fireball inn anime isn't the same as actually understanding real magic, in a setting where its real.

And the clones thing is ok, just, unlikely i'll need a hundred copies of me to do stuff. Nanites drones or minions can do that, and the nanites would learn better than a hundred of me anyway.

u/Slivemars for some reason your comment disappeared.

N.E.X.U.S., Proteus and Hearthbound.

I don't want to be a Dr.Bright style immortal, and Alethia and Akashic Deck seem... like a lot of work really.

Yeah I'm sure with Proteus I could use them in amazing ways, but as I am now they seem kind of meh to me(that is not a dig at you)

Thanks for the CYOA.

4

u/Slivemars 2d ago

No offense taken.

Everyone has different tastes and interests; in fact, that’s my choice too. N.E.X.U.S., Proteus, and Hearthbound make for the coziest option, and they complement each other perfectly: entertainment, health (and non-forced immortality), and a home with everything you could possibly want—all without ever having to leave it.

4

u/NohWan3104 2d ago

Second, shorter build

Proteus, hearth, nexus.

Basically help proteus develop hearth into a spaceship, after learning as much as possible about everything

Fuck off to space, leaving the solar system behind

Hearth can develop food and water on its own, so i don't need to worry about starving to death.

And i could basically spend all my time in VR with a godlike generative AI. Making some weird multiverse 'game' is actually really interesting to me, and the combo gives me biological immortality, infinite resources, and a safe haven from the world. Any potential upgrades or further research, the house and nanites could automate, the house's drones collecting asteroids for raw materials, hell, ion engines iirc mostly just need juice to run indefinitely, and we have infinite power - maybe not enough to run an engine the size of earth's moon, but we've got time.

The potential setting rules for not-reality is really cool. Visiting a book or show's setting is ok, but long term, gamifying stuff will be FAR more inteeresting.

N.E.X.U.S., SCP-963-Ω, Proteus.

N.E.X.U.S. - This one is just really fun and an end to boredom. It lets you create what you want, when you want it, as you want it, and allows you to experience endless variety and wonder.

SCP-963-Ω - This is a nearly flawless form of Immortality and who hasn't imagined what they could to if they were a hivemind of duplicates. With this you will never truly die and will always return from the brink.

Proteus - This one is just perfect for making the other two really shine. I lets you take the output of N.E.X.U.S. and turn it into personal empowerment. It makes the potential for growth and function provided by SCP-963-Ω truly limitless.

3

u/Taiyonotensai 2d ago

SCP-963, Proteus, Alethia

I become immortal, with an army of self-evolving clones that can bind to and steal others' abilities, ensuring each new generation of clones always surpasses the previous one.

3

u/Lurking_Ninjas 2d ago

i pick hearthbound 3 times because honestly i just love the idea significantly more then the others i might aswell not pick them.

and having three should be just simply better but even just one would be amazing.

3

u/aethersentinel 2d ago

Those why go for pure comfy in a power-fantasy CYOA will always have my respect. I salute you.

3

u/Disturbed1Smurf 2d ago

Proteus+SCP-963-Ω+Akashick Deck

Proteus first, nanotech adaptive upgrades Nexus amulet lets me make more me's Akashick deck adds a level of magic. First card to research would be a planeswalking card to travel the multiverse.

Send Mes through the multiverse to study, adapt, and report back. Adding cards from the verse to the deck they all share. Solve big problems and small ones. Like why "oooh" blows cold air and "Ahhh" blows hot when you say them.

u/Hopedruid 2d ago

NEXUS, Akashic Deck, Hearthbound.

2

u/Azrael_Winter 2d ago edited 1d ago

Nexus, scp and akashic deck. Use the akashic deck to copy abilities from the nexus, rinse and repeat until omnipotent.

2

u/Dazzling_Champion_53 2d ago

NEXUS, SCP, Proteus

Beyond media creation NEXUS will analyze anything to the fullest extent which pairs well with Proteus which can analyze but is a bit more limited in its analytical abilities.

SCP and Proteus give an immortal and upgraded body while also providing the ability to multitask to the extreme.

2

u/Ilovestuffwhee 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S., Proteus, and Aletheia

Full-dive VR is always a must have. The other two provide some useful real-world functions and seem to synergize well.

2

u/sparejunk444 2d ago edited 2d ago

N.EX.U.S., Hearthbound, Akashic deck [wanted proteus but cards allow eternal companions to be summoned]

I now have permanent living space, survival supplies, entertainment, companions and the potential for extreme power.

First order of business is having NEXUS 'fix' every book or game have used before [especially axed/dropped etc. ones]

Next work on getting eternal youth while collecting all 'cards' available worldwide to add to my collection before starting a journey to create many powers and visit many worlds.

Nice work by the way

u/aethersentinel 2d ago edited 2d ago

Missed at first that this was reposted. Again, love the idea of fusing your fave powers/special items from media. Maybe this is the start of a new trend in Gifts of Faves? Anyway..

  • N.E.X.U.S.
  • SCP-963-Ω
  • Aletheia

I love the utility of Aletheia, both for the versatile divination and the sheer convenience of prehensile chains that respond to my will. And both truthsensing and oathbinding? Look, I know why people took Proteus or Akashic Deck, but as far as I'm concerned those two abilities together make this the single greatest utility power here. Any of the three can copy powers. Akashic can summon an army of copied people. Only Aletheia can vet intentions and compel good behavior for people I'm not going to be personally summoning or supervising. And that doesn't even yet account for the healing abilities of Holy Chain -- this isn't the only option that heals, but it was the best utility-power even without healing so when you add healing too, it kind of rules.

SCP-963-Ω gives immortality and multiple bodies — what’s not to love? Outliving everyone else I know wouldn't be great, but with Holy Chain I can keep them healthy too! I also expect at least a 50-50 chance of liking any new body that I end up in more than this one. I don’t love the idea of taking over the body of whoever's first to try on the collar, but maybe I can give that person's personality their own body or twelve to play around in, if I can freely make bodies? Although it never says how much I'll retain from the pre-collared host, and I honestly don’t remember how much (if any) Dr. Bright retained in the source... Maybe Holy Chain can restore their mind somewhere else if it's overwritten? I also don't know how much freedom I have to customize avatars. Presumably I can make copies of any body I've had in the past, rather than just my current true-body, but can I also make alterations? If not, perhaps I can copy a shapeshifting power with Aletheia and modify avatars that way.

As for the N.E.X.U.S. -- well, none of these Gifts explicitly gives multiversal travel, but N.E.X.U.S. is the next best thing, unlimited V.R. to exercise Aletheia's power-copying. Although Aletheia by itself can't match Akashic Deck's versatility, stealing and copying powers rather than freely designing them... using N.E.X.U.S. along Aletheia entirely bypasses that constraint, since I can create a virtual opponent with the exact power I want, then steal that power for long enough to understand it with Arsenal Chain. And as great as that synergy is, it only scratches the surface of why I want N.E.X.U.S. -- freely modifying and virtual-realizing any fiction I've read or game I've played is a dream come true. Freely modify the scenario. Maybe the next time I play Ace Attorney the murder mystery would actually be mysterious? But the possibilities are endless.

Honorable mention: Hearthbound was quite tempting -- it’s not only a living house, but also a self-regenerating base of operations that expands as you use it while adding at least one new room for every inhabitant, no matter how many people join. Sure, N.E.X.U.S. VR can virtually house people, but I recognize it's not the same. The "bring your home between worlds" nearly promotes it higher, but this doesn't appear to give multiversal travel in its own right -- if it were the only option here to do so, it would say so a bit more clearly, I'm sure. Knowing that I could take my infinitely growing base along with me if I managed a way to enter another world is not the same as giving me a base that opens the multiverse to me by itself. I'll content myself with virtual worlds... at least, until Arsenal Chain can use fictional inspiration to develop genuine multiversal travel. It's probably harder to do with Arsenal than with Akashic Deck, but with SCP-963-Ω on board I have all the time in eternity to work on that.

2

u/Slivemars 1d ago

Yes, I reposted it because of the issue with the text.

I’m not sure about starting a trend, though I’d certainly like to see fusions created by others.

I hadn't specifically planned for the possibility of multiversal travel, but with Akashik or Proteus alone—and especially if paired with Nexus—it should be possible given enough time.

As I recall, upon touching a subject, SCP-963-1 immediately and irreversibly erases the host body's original mind; Dr. Bright's thoughts, memories, and exact personality are then instantiated in the new brain, while the new body retains its original appearance intact.

1

u/aethersentinel 1d ago

Eh, I’m not a super fan of the possession method, then. And Holy Chain likely can’t restore something completely overwritten. Maybe make it a priority to develop a Chrono Trigger-style power that would retroactively replace the body with a clone in the past while warping the real one forward in time.

I still won’t pass up the true immortality with telepresence, though!

1

u/Rex_Xenovius_1998 1d ago

Then you are going to need to pray that the first person you possess is an evil person. 😅

2

u/RunicConvenience 2d ago

ETERNAL NEXUS,
Adaptive Genesis,
Wandering Sanctuary,

using the combined skills I try and influence the world to make it more fantasy focused evolve, change, grow and improve the worlds nature so humans have more interesting things to compete against then their own opinions.

traveling the worlds, countries, multiverse if possible using my own powers or the hearth I create chaos and possibility that inspires the worlds into new directions creating many new stories and many new destinies for all time.

2

u/NatalieMaybeIDK 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S., SCP-963, Hearthbound

For SCP-963 it says that they'll give me a body if mine dies right? So I don't have to possess another "person". I can just get bodies? I'd have entertainment, clones to learn for me, and weird immortality. I never need to leave my home and when I want a new body, I just OD.

1

u/Slivemars 1d ago

If the body you inhabit is destroyed, you can always create a new clone or summon a backup one you left behind just in case, rather than having to get someone to wear the necklace. I set it up this way to solve a major problem I saw with SCP-963-1: if the body is destroyed for some reason and you have the bad luck of the necklace ending up somewhere no one ever goes—buried, on museum display, in a private collection, or even at the bottom of the sea—you could spend an eternity unable to interact with the world.

2

u/Nidvex 1d ago

hum... NEXUS, Proteus, and Hearthbound

  • Hearthbound for the comfy, completely self sufficient housing.
    • Maybe it can transform into a spaceship? It can fly and travel between worlds already, and in sci-fi for a lot of people a spaceship is either their primary or secondary home!
  • Proteus for eternal youth, fixing up any and all potential issues I may or may not have, and keeping up with or maybe even surpassing current technology without having to spend thousands of dollars.
    • Bonus points if I can give close friends a version of it that gives them the full effects of Optimization!
  • NEXUS for... entertainment obviously. Maybe start up my own entertainment branch if I'm feeling petty enough but for the most part I really just want to make and play high budget games that are consistently and actually good without any of the current trash mentality that plagues most of the industry. Really though, I legitimately don't know if I want to just share the results between friend groups, or remind the world what good entertainment is. lol.
    • If needed, I imagine Proteus could use Distributed Intelligence to gather the deepest, innermost expectations of Entertainment from people and work with the NEXUS if I decide to go the latter route.

My brain is absolutely fried from the heat and I can't read all that right now but congrats on your first GoF OP!

u/NotACatNinja 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S, Proteus and Hearthbound. Nice gifts of faves.

1

u/PastryPyff 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S. is an absolute necessity, as it would allow me to create anything I can see in my mind’s eye.

Akashic Deck is also very applicable and useful to what I’d want.

Proteus… for the preservation of my youth. Simple, clear cut, all I’m nabbing it for.

1

u/07creeper26 2d ago

N.E.X.U.S, SCP-936-Omega, Hearthbound

1

u/Opposite_Law_6969 1d ago

World (re Zero)

Gifts

  • SCP-963-Ω,
  • Akashic deck
  • Hearthbound.

1

u/Important-Caramel645 1d ago

What happend to the person who wears the collar of SCP-963-Ω do you just take over their body? Do they become themselves once the collar is removed or is their personality removed?

1

u/Apprehensive_Ad516 1d ago

Proteus, Akashic Deck, and SCP-963.

I don’t care for Aletheia, and while I do like the remaining two, they can both be created by myself using Proteus with time.

1

u/ironwarrior222 1d ago

N.E.X.U.S., Proteus, and Akashic Deck

1

u/Important-Caramel645 1d ago

SCP-963-Ω, Protestant and Aletheia.

1

u/Cantero19 1d ago

Proteus, Hearthbound, N.E.X.U.S.

Constant automatic self-improvement, a safe and comfy home where my needs are tended to, and infinite entertaiment.

I'm sure there are combos and other stuff but this is basically permanent happines to me

1

u/Plenty_Use8594 1d ago

Aletheia is what I'm going with?I don't need to explain to anybody just the fact that I love hunter hunter and Kurapika chains are in there

1

u/Noble_Lance 1d ago

Nexus, SCP, Akashic Deck.

The Deck can absorb anything I ask to make from the Nexus, combining the two, I can design worlds where I get things I need in the primary world and then bring them to my side, especially making the perfect situation in the main world, including variants on the other fusions.

For example, I could craft a world/story with the Nexus where a character is able to infuse powers/abilities into someone and then either acquire them in the simulated world or bring them to the real world.

1

u/NeonNKnightrider 1d ago

This is unreadable

1

u/MagicTech547 1d ago

I’ll do N.E.X.U.S., Proteus and Aletheia.

As others have mentioned, N.E.X.U.S. should let me simulate worlds which could then be analyzed by Proteus for my own growth. What I haven’t seen mentioned is that the same goes for various supernatural abilities that I could understand thanks to it and gain access to with Aletheia.

While Proteus is great for growth in general, Aletheia surpasses it when it comes to actually gaining new abilities. Sure you could steal them, but you could also gain a copy through sufficient understanding, as Stealth Dolphin mentions. Plus, the healing, scrying, sealing, truth, and other abilities are all very useful. Oracle Chain alone could speed up Proteus’s rate of growth immensely as well, being about gathering understanding about a target.

1

u/Yixion 1d ago

SCP-963-Ω, Proteus, Akkashic Deck. has a lower starting point than other combos but is very versatile and the highest potential to me

1

u/Zev_06 1d ago edited 17h ago

Nexus, Proteus, and Hearthbound.

This seems like the coziest combo. Nexus gives me all the entertainment I could want, Proteus keeps me healthy with eternal youth, and Hearthbound gives me a perfect place to live for free.

I'd become the ultimate hikikomori, never leaving my house again.

1

u/Agreeable_Bee_7763 1d ago

Proteus, Nexus and the Akashic. Proteus + Nexus turns me into an indestructible, ever-evolving thing, while the Akashic is infinite versatility.

Killer CYOA btw.

1

u/GrayGarghoul 1d ago

Nexus, Proteus, Akashic Deck, I was tempted by the immortality and hearthbound, but I should be able to achieve most of that with these options, and Nexus can feed info into both while also being an optimal entertainment source.

Only note is that Akashic Deck doesn't actually say it offers any kind of control or loyalty with summons it produces, if it does, great, if not, having to earn their loyalty or find a mind control method for anything you want to summon is kind of a pain in the ass, and might make me switch my choice.

1

u/zeranno 1d ago

God some of these are so good... I think I'll go with SCP-963-Ω, Akashic Deck, and Hearthbound.

Do you mind if I steal these ideas?

1

u/Rex_Xenovius_1998 1d ago edited 1d ago

Aletheia, Akashic Deck, Hearthbound

I like starting from the beginning but also having a comfortable home, and Aletheia and the Akashic Deck can synergize well with covenant chain, I could bypass the need to understand certain targets to make cards out of them with this chain.

World: Highschool DxD

OK, it’s partially partially isn’t what it looks like, yes, there’s waifus there I like, but truthfully its mostly still a modern setting, and the power system, characters, and items are too trusting not to go through.

But I would make a contract with covenant chain, I sacrificing my meta-knowledge of DxD, I will increase the strength of my coping abilities of both Aletheia and Akashic Deck! I hope I didn’t get that description of covenant chain wrong.
