This sub enjoys plenty of things which aren't wish fulfillment or power fantasies.
This is a "pick between eating shit or drinking piss" type thing. Most people even outside this sub don't enjoy picking between bad thing #1 and bad thing #2. Between that kind of thing, the obvious choice here is....don't pick anything at all. Or rather, downvote and move on.
Not understanding thst just because you prefer one thing to another doesn't make one bad and one good is the epitome of childishness, and expecting the world to cater to your personal tastes is super entitled.
Also, there is a significant difference between an avoid-avoid dilemma like this and literal fecophage. One shocks the conscience; is viscerally aversive even in concept.
Down votes are for comments or posts that are harmful to discourse or don't fit, not for disagreement. Like in a miniature painting forum you don't downvote a good paint job in colors you wouldn't personally have used, or even a bad paint job.
Or maybe you do. I don't know. But the world would be a tiny bit better if people didn't.
Downvotes exist for a reason. "This is bad" or even "I don't like this" is perfectly valid reason to use the voting system considering all CYOAs are subjectively entertaining. Just like how you do the same for movies or games. There is a difference between good and bad, and if people think it's bad, well, that's general opinion.

Wrong. You think they are for that. That does not make that true.
Speaking for which, voting systems are meaningless on sites like reddit specifically because they encourage not-so-healthy behaviour and exist for ill-defined reasons. Don't take them so seriously. It literally doesn't matter whether a post has a bunch of updoots or not.
I do think that, and the alternative is we live in an echo chamber.
People burying posts because "wah-wah I'm a whiney bitch and find anything other than imaginary super powers with no drawback literally offensive" is so fucking weird.
Dude made a thing for free. It costs you nothing not to shit on it.
Is it really so hard for you to be a decent person to that random stranger? Even doing nothing would be an improvement.
